CONFIRMED: There’s a Secret Loophole in Disney World Dining Plan
When it comes to Disney World, there are plenty of loopholes — some work, while others wish they did.

We’ve spotted a loophole that actually WORKS in Disney World for guests using the Disney Dining Plan, specifically families with kids. And this loophole makes your Disney Dining Plan well worth it!
The Disney Dining Plan is a prepaid meal plan that sets the number of meals and snacks that you can get during your trip, which is great if you want convenience and are good at doing math to get the best bang for your buck! In 2027, the Disney Dining Plan will consist of three tiers:
- Quick-Service Dining Plan: Two quick-service meals and one snack per day with a resort refillable mug.
- Table-Service Dining Plan: One table-service meal, one quick-service meal, and one snack per day with a resort refillable mug.
- NEW for 2027! Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan: Two table-service meals, one quick-service meal, and one snack per day with a resort refillable mug.

In the last few years, Disney World has offered a FREE Disney Dining Plan for kids ages 3-9 when the party purchased a Disney Dining Plan as part of their package for the other members ages 10+. This promotion is coming to an end in 2027. Instead, families can save up to 20% on dining for kids ages 3-9 by purchasing a package that includes a dining plan for their party.

Whether your kids are dining for free this year or for a discounted rate next year, there’s a loophole that can qualify them to get adult quick-service meals for a kid’s quick-service credit. See, not all quick-service locations offer a kid’s menu, so does that mean families will have to pay out of pocket for their kid’s meal from the regular menu? NOPE!

To ensure you redeem a child Dining Plan credit, you should place an order in person and let the Cast Member know how you would like to use your credits. We recently spoke with a Cast Member who said this may not work on Mobile Order in the My Disney Experience app, so your best bet is to order in person.
