The Alps Booth at the 2025 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival Is POPULAR, and We Know Why

It’s almost time for the 2025 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival!

We’ve been going to this festival for decades now and covering it here at DFB for more than 10 years, and throughout that time, we’ve kept an eye on which booths are the most popular. Many return year after year, and if there’s one that’s guaranteed to be busy, it’s The Alps.

The Alps is located in the Germany Pavilion each year, usually right next to the Germany booth, and it has been at the festival since 2019. Even though it has only been around for a few years now, it’s one of the booths that consistently has a loooong line, even sometimes when it’s not a peak meal time.

Do you know why The Alps tends to be so popular? Well, it’s down to one word — CHEESE. This booth is home to the famous Raclette, which is a Swiss dish where cheese is heated up and then scraped (all melty and gooey 🤤) over a bed of potatoes or other accoutrements.

At The Alps booth, you can get two different versions of this dish — one with ham and one without. Both dishes come with baby potatoes, cornichons, and a baguette. Usually, the Raclette is part of Emile’s Fromage Montage, the cheesy scavenger hunt you can complete during the Food & Wine Festival.

In the past, our reviews have described The Alps booth as a must-visit, and the Warm Raclette has made our “best of the fest” list several times over. The cheese is strong and some might call it stinky, but it has that punchy cheesy flavor that complements the more tame potatoes and bread that are served alongside it. It’s best to eat this dish hot and fresh before the cheese has had time to firm up; that way, it’s more like a delicious fondue.

It also tends to be one of the festival’s cheaper items, and it’s pretty filling, so you get some bang for your buck. Are you starting to understand why people line up for this booth all day long? It’s a crowd-pleaser option that brings fans back again and again.

So if you’re hoping to visit The Alps booth during the festival this year, be prepared to wait in a long line. But the good news? We can almost guarantee it’ll be worth it once you have that cheesy goodness in your hands. (Well, not literally in your hands — they serve it to you in a paper dish.)
