The Hidden Fee People HATE Paying on Spirit Airlines

Travelers hate paying for extra fees on top of costly travel expenses, but this one fee just seems ridiculous to pay.

Orlando International Airport

Spirit Airlines is known for its fees. While the actual price of the ticket can be cheaper than competitor airlines, there are a lot of additional charges if you want to add extras. Recently, Spirit Airlines hit their first quarter target for 2025 after a crippling few years falling short that led them toward bankruptcy, but there are just some things that feel like they should be included in the price.

Planning guide for the ultimate Disney vacation

No one likes paying for hidden fees while traveling, and travelers who are flying Spirit Airlines can tell you about that. Spirit has fees for seat upgrades, bags, and even snacks during your flight. However, there is one fee that travelers are just not happy paying for.

Spirit Airlines

Spirit Airlines charges a Wi-Fi fee. For internet browsing, fliers can pay between $3.99 to $16.99. For internet streaming, you would pay $6.99 to $19.99. The price can vary based on your specific flight. Other airlines offer free Wi-Fi, such as JetBlue. It just seems like if McDonald’s and Starbucks can have free Wi-Fi, the airlines can as well.
