Yeah, We’re Going There. Please Ban These 4 Things in Disney World

It’s no secret to anyone how much we love Disney. We talk about it all day, every day, for our jobs!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

However, there are plenty of aspects of Disney vacations that stress us out — huge crowds, long lines, and high prices, just to name a few. Some of these grind our gears so much that we’re calling for them to be BANNED in Disney World.

Rude Guests

Listen, we totally understand that while Disney World is as magical as can be, things can still be very stressful. And if things start to go wrong, your day may turn sour. That’s very frustrating, BUT it’s never an excuse to be rude to fellow guests or Cast Members.

Stress, paired with the Florida heat, not to mention hunger or thirst if you haven’t grabbed anything to chow down on in a little while, is a terrible recipe for a bad mood. It’s important to know yourself well enough to recognize when you’re too angry or frustrated to regulate your emotions, that way you can take a step back to collect yourself.

Aloha Isle Crowds

Cast Members will typically do anything they can to help you solve your issue if you’re being kind about it. Cast Members can only do so much though, so don’t get angry at them if your issue doesn’t have an easy fix. They’re just following the rules they’ve been told, and fellow guests around you are trying to have a magical day, just like you. If you feel you may be slipping into rude territory, find some AC and take some deep breaths — there’s no shame in taking a breather!

Balloons During Fireworks

We know many of you aren’t a fan of balloons in general (we have some members of our team who feel the same), HOWEVER we think we can all agree that balloons blocking your view during fireworks is not fun.

Balloons

Balloons are great souvenirs for kids and adults alike, but they float pretty high in the air and can easily block the view of fireworks and castle projections for the people behind you.

You don’t want these in your way!

So if you’ve got a balloon on your stroller, or held in your hand, please remember to lower it as much as you can before the show begins — no one wants their view to be blocked!

High Genie+ Prices

Well, this one is entirely out of our hands, but we would LOVE it if we could ban those wildly high Genie+ prices.

Disneyland recently announced a price increase for Genie+, so it’s possible we could see one for Disney World as well. Even as it currently stands, Genie+ can get up to $28-$29 per person per day on busy days, and that’s a lot to spend just to skip lines.

You’re already spending so much money on Disney World tickets and hotel accommodations, it would be nice to not have to spend another fortune to not spend half your day waiting in ride lines.

Price Increases

This one will, quite literally, never happen, but we so wish we could ban price increases in Disney World!

A busy day in Magic Kingdom

We see them nearly every year — increases on food, merchandise, ticket prices, and nearly everything in between. It gets harder and harder every year to plan a budget for a future trip because you never know how prices are going to change for the next year.

Galaxy’s Edge

It’s a big reason why many families have stopped planning trips to Disney World at all — it’s no longer in their budget and just continues to get more and more expensive. We think everyone should be able to experience the magic of Disney World, so if we could ban these increases, we would in a heartbeat!
