NEWS: After Hours Events Are Coming BACK to Disney World

Big news for creatures of the night!

If you’re a night owl instead of an early riser or just simply want more time in the parks then you’re going to be happy to hear this news. Disney has just announced that After Hours Events are returning to Walt Disney World beginning in January for three of the parks! Let’s check out the details.

Starting in January 2024, you’ll be able to have access to the parks after hours with lower wait times and complimentary treats. You’ll get to see Cinderella Castle and Spaceship Earth twinkling under the night sky for an additional three hours! Yep, Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT are all getting new dates for Disney After Hours Events.

It’s so pretty at night

Disney After Hours is a special ticketed event that allows only a limited number of people to stay in the parks for three extra hours after park close. This gives you access to the park at night with lower wait times and allows you to experience the magic a little longer. During these events, you’ll not only have access to the rides, but also to complimentary snacks such as ice cream novelties, popcorn, and select beverages at certain locations around the park.

These events will take place starting January 11th through April 8th, 2024 in Magic Kingdom from 10PM to 1AM. Over at Hollywood Studios, you can stay late from 9:30PM to 12:30 AM starting January 10th through April 10th, 2024. And EPCOT will host the events from 10PM to 1AM starting February 2nd through April 4, 2024. All three parks will let you start your visit at 7PM for even extra excitement!

But that’s not all! During these special events in Magic Kingdom, you’ll be able to see the nighttime fireworks show Enchantment as it makes its return exclusively for the Disney After Hours events. So that means, if you arrive in the park early, you’ll have the opportunity to see both fireworks shows, Happily Ever After and Enchantment!

Magic Kingdom also has a standby queue planned for TRON Lightcycle/ Run during these events.

Enchantment

Those staying at a Disney World Resort hotel, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green can start purchasing tickets on November 7th, 2023 by calling 407-W-Disney. All others can purchase event tickets starting November 14th. Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios tickets range from $155-$175 and EPCOT tickets range from $149-$159. 

Specially priced tickets are available for Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members.

Disney at night and after hours is the most special time to be in the park. As Disney themselves said, “There’s something about Walt Disney World Resort at night that just hits differently” We hope to see you there!
