ALL the Plant-Based Eats at the 2023 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival
If you’re a fan of good food and beautiful scenery, then you need to get your butt down to the 2023 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival!
This year’s festival runs from March 1st to July 5th and throughout that time, you can visit and check out a variety of entertainment options, some new merchandise, and of course, lots of delicious food. But if you’re a plant-based eater, will you be able to participate? Of course! This year, Disney has several plant-based offerings that you can try, and we’ve gathered a FULL list.
Bauernmarkt: Farmer’s Market
Starting out at Bauernmarkt, which is located in the Germany Pavilion, we have a returning plant-based item — the Potato Pancakes with house-made applesauce. These have been a staple of the festival for a few years now, and they’re a great option for those who love potatoes or who are on a special diet.
These are gluten and wheat-friendly, plant-based, and a part of the Garden Graze. (More on that in a minute!)
Brunchcot
Brunchcot is a brand-new booth this year, but it’s similar to last year’s Sunshine Griddle and has many of the same items on the menu. It’s even in the same location near Test Track! And this year, you can once again order the Avocado Toast.
The Avocado Toast is made with marinated toybox tomatoes on toasted ciabatta, is plant-based, and is part of the Garden Graze. It was one of the most beautiful things we ate last year, and it was pretty delicious as well!
Florida Fresh
Florida Fresh is back this year, and for 2023, you can find two plant-based items on the menu — one we’ve seen before and one that’s new. First, there’s the returning Grilled Street Corn on the Cob with savory garlic spread and plant-based cotija cheese.
But along with the OG street corn, there’s an updated version! You can also get the Grilled Street Corn on the Cob with savory garlic spread and spicy corn chips. Both options are part of the Garden Graze.
La Isla Fresca
Over between France and Morocco, you’ll find La Isla Fresca, serving up a taste of the Caribbean. But for plant-based eaters, this is where you’ll want to go to grab dessert! They have a Coconut Tres Leches.
Vanilla cake soaked in oat milk, almond milk, and coconut milk with toasted coconut makes up this sweet treat, and it’s also a part of the Garden Graze.
The Land Cart hosted by AdventHealth
If you’re REALLY hungry, you need to make sure to visit The Land Cart, where there are not one, not two, but THREE plant-based items on the menu. First, there’s a Vegetable Plate served with broccoli, carrot sticks, and tomatoes with dip.
Here you can also order Pretzels with Hummus Dip or the Cookies ‘n “Cream” Chocolate Mousse Cup (which sounds pretty similar to the one we’ve seen at Sunshine Seasons). The mousse is the Garden Graze addition from this booth.
Pineapple Promenade
Pineapple Promenade is a staple of the Flower & Garden Festival, and it’s returning in 2023 with a Disney World classic. THIS is where you’ll fine Pineapple Dole Whip!
The classic treat is a fan favorite, and thankfully, it’s plant-based! Make sure to snag a cup during the festival.
Refreshment Outpost
But that isn’t the only place where you can enjoy some sweet pineapple! At Refreshment Outpost, the Pineapple Skewer with Tajin seasoning is back again.
Tangierine Cafe: Flavors of the Medina
If you’re stopping in Morocco, Tangierine Cafe: Flavors of the Medina has a NEW Hummus Trio that you might be interested in. It’s made with Traditional Hummus, Red-Beet-and-Black-Garlic Hummus, and Avocado-Herb Hummus served with Moroccan Bread and Crispy Papadam.
Now that sounds pretty good! It’s also gluten/wheat-friendly and included in the Garden Graze.
Trowel & Trellis Hosted by IMPOSSIBLE Foods
If you’re a fan of IMPOSSIBLE foods, then you’ll want to check out Trowel & Trellis this year. First, you can snag the Boneless IMPOSSIBLE Korean Short Rib with cilantro-lime rice, Danmuji slaw, and kimchee mayonnaise.
They also have an IMPOSSIBLE Lumpia with Thai sweet chili sauce and Chocolate Cake with black currant ganache, mixed berry compote, and chocolate ice cream. Yum!
Don’t Forget the Garden Graze!
And finally, we have to mention the Garden Graze! This is an activity literally MADE for plant-based eaters. To participate, you simply pick up a festival passport and go around the festival to order 5 of the 10 plant-based options from this list:
- Grilled Street Corn on the Cob with Savory Garlic Spread and Spicy Corn Chips – located at Florida Fresh
- Grilled Street Corn on the Cob with Savory Garlic Spread and Plant-Based Cotija Cheese – located at Florida Fresh
