We Wanted WAY More From This Disney Snack

Happy Holidays from the West Coast! The snow is on the castle in Disneyland, so it is officially the holiday season (okay, the snow has been on there since BEFORE Halloween, though).

Sleeping Beauty Castle during the holidays

So while we’re buying up some holiday merchandise and sipping on hot cocoa, we’re also eating up ALL the holiday snacks. So we’re headed over to Disney California Adventure to try a new one!

You can now get Peppermint Bark Bread Pudding at Pacific Wharf Cafe. It’s made with White Chocolate, Chocolate Chips, and Peppermint, with Whipped Topping and Crème Anglaise. So it sounds anything but basic, right?

It looks appetizing!

But here’s the thing — it IS basic. There aren’t a lot of chocolate chips in it, and the peppermint flavoring in the bread pudding isn’t very prominent (it looks like it has more food coloring than actual peppermint flavor). We DID get some of that minty flavor from the whipped cream, though.

But it’s pretty basic

The white chocolate sauce is also not very sweet (which surprised us), so it didn’t really add anything to the bland bread pudding. The bread pudding itself is served warm and gooey, but the flavors here just aren’t doing it for us.

Needs more flavor

Feel free to try it for yourself, though for $6.49. While you’re in Disney California Adventure, be sure to check out all the snacks available through the Festival of the Holidays — you can find all our reviews of the holiday kitchens here.

Also, be sure to get our FREE printable if you’re heading to the festival — it will help you navigate all the holiday kitchens!
