PHOTOS: We’re SHOCKED by the Halloween Crowds in Disney World

Happy Halloween! It’s the spookiest day of the year!

Halloween decorations in Magic Kingdom!

We’ve been gearing up for this day since August when we saw the first Halloween decorations in Disney World and attended the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Since then, we’ve been eating ALL the Halloween food. Now, Halloween is here, and we’re taking a look at what crowds look like in Disney World!

Magic Kingdom

We first arrived at the Transportation and Ticket Center and noticed that crowds weren’t too bad.

Where is everyone?

There wasn’t even a long line to get on the Monorail.

Woohoo!

At the entrance of Magic Kingdom, there were very low crowds.

Whoa

Seriously, we were expecting a lot more people to be trying to get into the park for Halloween, especially since it was sold out for a while.

This is unexpected!

Inside, Main Street, U.S.A. was a bit busier with more people hanging around.

Some more people

We definitely noticed a decent amount of folks in the park for the spooky holiday. Remember, Magic Kingdom closes early today for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Still not too bad, though

Over in Tomorrowland, the area in front of Space Mountain was practically empty because the ride was down.

No one around but Cast Members!

But, the PeopleMover had a waaaay bigger line.

Everyone wants to get on the PeopleMover

Over in Fantasyland, there were some people around, but it wasn’t as crowded as it can be.

Fantasyland crowds

This area between Peter Pan’s Flight and “it’s a small world” is usually where we see a big crowd, but it wasn’t that bad today.

Not too bad

We’re still shocked at how not crowded the parks are today!

Low crowds

In Frontierland, it looked like a bunch of people were around, but the wait times were still pretty low. Splash Mountain only had a 40 minute wait…

…and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad only had a 30 minute wait. These were the wait times around 2PM!

Now, let’s check out EPCOT.

EPCOT

Over in EPCOT, we noticed the same thing — not a ton of people around!

It’s chill

It’s definitely not deserted, but for Halloween, these crowds seem pretty low.

Japan Pavilion

We’ll see how they develop as the day goes on!

And, over in the France Pavilion, there were a moderate amount of people out and about as well.

Walking from the World Showcase toward World Nature, there really weren’t many people around at all.

Almost empty!

And, closer to the Imagination Pavilion, there were some more people around, but not a lot.

EPCOT crowds

We’ll be updating this post throughout the day with more pictures and info on crowds, so stay tuned!

So that’s what crowds are looking like on Halloween in Disney World! We expect the holiday season to bring even MORE crowds (and some days are already out of park pass reservations), so we’ll be keeping an eye on how busy the parks are so you’re prepared if you’re heading to Disney World soon.
