Review: Is EPCOT’s Newest Restaurant a Must-Try?
Attention all Disney foodies: a BRAND NEW restaurant (really 2 restaurants) will be opening soon in EPCOT!
La Crêperie de Paris and its quick service window, Crêpes à Emporter, will be opening on October 1st, just in time for the start of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebrations. These table service and quick service dining locations are nestled right next to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT’s France pavilion, with sweet and savory options for guests to try. Recently, we got a first look at these restaurants and got to try a bunch of different dishes. Should you take time out of your day to stop by and grab a crêpe or two at these spots? We’re sharing ALL of our thoughts here.
Atmosphere
As we mentioned, La Crêperie de Paris has a table service option as well as a to-go window called Crêpes à Emporter.
When you walk past this area, you’ll see the door to enter the table service location on one side, and the to-go window to the right-hand side.
Crêpes à Emporter
Let’s talk about Crêpes à Emporter first. This is a to-go spot so there’s not too much to say in terms of atmosphere, but there are some cute details to look at in the space, particularly as you look up and see those windows above…
…or as you look at some of the design elements.
When you’re ready to place your order at this spot, you’ll hop in line (you’ll find stanchions guiding the way), pay for your items, and then pick them up at the pick-up window.
If you’re looking for more of a sit-down experience though, you’ll want to visit the table service side of La Crêperie de Paris.
La Crêperie de Paris
When it opens, La Crêperie de Paris’ table service option will NOT be accepting reservations so that’s something important to keep in mind. Service will be done on a walk-up basis, so you may encounter a wait in order to enter.
Inside the restaurant, the decor is simple and fairly plain. There’s nothing terribly exciting in the space.
There are wooden beams on the ceiling and some paneling and other design features throughout, all in fairly muted, simple colors.
There are also paintings scattered throughout the restaurant, some of which provide small pops of color.
There are standard tables and chairs, as well as some booth seating.
There is essentially one main room in an L-shape. The main wall is made of one large bench seat that spans the room, with multiple tables (and some chairs) pulled up to it. The other wall of the “L” has more booth seating, and again there are also standard tables scattered throughout.
There is a restroom inside the restaurant.
When we sat down, we were provided with a paper menu and paper napkins with our utensils inside.
Now, let’s take a look at the FULL menus for the table service and quick-service areas of La Crêperie de Paris!
Menus
La Crêperie de Paris (Table Service)
At La Crêperie de Paris, guests are provided with a paper menu containing all of the available items. La Crêperie de Paris’ menu was created by celebrity chef Jérôme Bocuse, and is said to draw inspiration from the Brittany region of France. The options incorporate both sides of the palate with sweet dessert crêpes and savory galettes.
There is a small selection of Entrées, a kids menu…
…6 savory galettes, a Prix Fixe menu (which comes with one soup or salad, one galette, a glass of hard cider, soda, or juice, and one dessert crepe)…
…5 dessert crêpes, and a selection of hard ciders, wines, and more.
There are also some add-ons like ice cream, or a shot of certain alcoholic drinks.
Crêpes à Emporter (Quick Service)
Crêpes à Emporter features a smaller menu with 3 savory galettes, 4 dessert crepes, and some ice cream, along with a few hard ciders, wines, and other drinks.
Some of the options here are different than those served in the table-service restaurant though, so you’ll have to visit both spots to try everything!
Eats and Drinks
La Crêperie de Paris
For our meal at La Crêperie de Paris, we opted for the Prix Fixe menu, priced at $33. We started with the Salad Maison (which would cost $6.75 if ordered on its own). The Salad Maison is made with mixed greens, tomatoes, onions, and vinaigrette dressing.
This salad was actually a surprisingly huge portion! It was very fresh and the dressing was premixed with the greens. The dressing itself was wonderfully light and quite delicious. It was a very traditional oil and vinegar-type dressing, but sometimes there’s nothing wrong with simple.
The halved grape tomatoes added a nice flavor, as did the sliced red onions. We especially enjoyed that the red onions were sliced very thinly. They weren’t too strong, but just added the right amount of added flavor.
Having the croutons was nice too as that gave a good crunch to the textures. Overall, we feel like this salad was a great way to start the meal.
If you like a simple salad with fresh flavors this is a great choice. We would have loved to have some cheese added to it, but overall it was very good and a nice portion!
For the galette choice, we went with Classique Galette (priced at $15.95 if bought individually). This is a buckwheat savory crepe with ham, egg, and Swiss cheese.
Essentially, there was very thinly sliced ham and Swiss cheese folded into the delicate buckwheat galette with a runny egg on top that was lightly seasoned with pepper.
We absolutely LOVED the runny egg! If that’s something you enjoy, then you’ll really like that part of the dish.
The dish overall was fine — nothing spectacular about it, but it was still good. At least to us, it felt like the galette needed a bit more seasoning — a bit more salt specifically. The ham had some saltiness to it, but since the slice of ham that you get is so thin, we felt like it just needed more salt to really bring the whole dish together.
The other thing to keep in mind is that these galettes are VERY thin. If you’re used to eating a whole heaping of ham and cheese in your breakfast sandwiches, this won’t give you that same effect. The galette is thin and delicate with just a thin slice of ham and a single layer of cheese inside.
If you love savory galettes though, then this could be a good choice for you. Also, if you have a gluten allergy, this might be a good option as the buckwheat flour is gluten free.

But, if you’re looking for a big, hearty breakfast full of meat and cheese and bread, you might want to take a trip to the nearby Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie for a more hearty option.
For our dessert crepe, we went Gourmande Crepe on our first visit (priced at $8.95 if purchased individually). This crepe is made with house-made hazelnut chocolate spread, and whipped cream. During our first visit, we didn’t get the whipped cream…
…but during a return visit we got both whipped cream and some extra little sweets on top!
Note that the dessert crepes are made with regular flour and are not gluten free. The crepe was very yummy! It reminded us of sort-of a nutty hot chocolate in terms of the filling. It was sweet without being overly so.
The whipped cream gives it an added sweetness, making it that much richer!

If you’re a Nutella fan and like the regular flour for your crepes, we have a feeling these will be a hit with you!
This crepe is made with peach, red berries sauce, and almonds.
If you prefer fruity crepes, then this might be a good choice for you!
During our first visit to this spot, we also grabbed an add-on, a scoop of raspberry ice cream for an additional $2.95 (not included in the price of the Prix Fixe menu).
The raspberry ice cream was great. It was wonderfully sweet, with the right amount of tartness, and was also very creamy.
At $2.95, it wasn’t too bad in terms of price since it was a fairly large scoop.
And we can’t forget about our drinks! Since we opted for the Prix Fixe option at La Crêperie de Paris, our meal included our choice of a hard cider, soda, or juice. We opted for the Demi Sec (French Hard Cider) (priced at $5.95 if purchased on its own).
During our first trip, they were out if the Rose, which is $7.50 if purchased on its own. If you’re looking for the best bang for your buck, the Rose is the way to go when getting the Prix Fixe menu.
Back to the Demi Sec, the drink was nice and had a light amount of carbonation, but wasn’t too bubbly. It was on the sweet side, but not overly so. We felt like it paired well with the salad and galette with its slight apple and fruity flavor.
If you like hard apple ciders, this is basically a lighter version of that and we have a feeling you’ll enjoy it.
We also decided to grab a Diet Coke during our visit which was perfect!
Now, onto the quick service window!
Crêpes à Emporter
Over at Crêpes à Emporter, we grabbed a dessert crepe — the Red Berries Crepe for $7.50.
This crepe was actually VERY good! It had a lot of that berry flavor, but had some great tartness to balance the sweetness.
And that’s a full look at the items we got at both the table service and to-go window at France’s newest restaurant.
Nosh or Not
You should dine at La Crêperie de Paris if…
- You love crêpes — If you’re a big fan of crêpes and savory galettes, then this is a spot you’ll want to try!
- You’re looking for a table service restaurant to eat at in France that is less expensive than Chefs de France — While some of the items are a bit pricy considering how thin they are, you can still get a meal here that is less expensive than Chefs de France, especially if you just order 1 or 2 items, or if you get the Prix Fixe option.
- You want to try something new, unique, and light — There’s a certain appeal with trying a brand NEW restaurant in Disney World, and well, this is one of the newest! Also, if you’re looking to grab something more unique than your regular hot dog or chicken tenders, and you want something that won’t weigh you down too much (compared to other heavier meals), this could be a good option.
You should NOT dine at La Crêperie de Paris if…
- You’re not a crêpe fan or a buckwheat galette fan, or you’re looking to eat a LOT of heavy food — If you don’t love crêpes or you don’t like the idea of buckwheat galettes, but you still want to munch on some French flavors, then you’ll probably want to skip this spot and visit Les Halles instead. Also, if you’re looking to eat a TON of food, this probably isn’t the best option. There are a variety of menu options, but overall the galettes and crepes are light and thin. If you’re looking to really eat tons of food or eat a heavier meal, a buffet or family-style service meal at EPCOT will probably be a better choice.
- You prefer to have a set dining reservation so you can best plan your day — When it opens, La Crêperie will not be accepting reservations. That means you may walk up and find that there’s a lengthy wait to get in. If you want to have a set reservation rather than wait for a walk-up spot, then you might want to hold off on visiting this restaurant for now.
- You’re looking for a very colorful and fun indoor atmosphere — There’s not really much in terms of bright and unique decor here, so if you’re looking for over-the-top, in-your-face colors and design, this probably isn’t the spot for you.
Overall
In terms of service, we had a fantastic server at the table service portion of this restaurant. Our server really made it feel like this was more of a fine dining spot with their level of service and recommendations. They were attentive and very helpful.
The service was also very fast, with one course arriving just as soon as we finished the one before it.
Overall, the dishes we ate at La Crêperie were good. Nothing really blew us out of the water, but they were all tasty and good. The Prix Fixe menu is a good deal in terms of price if you want to try a little bit of everything. If purchased individually, we do feel like the price for the galettes is a bit high considering how thin they are. But again, the Prix Fixe option helps alleviate some of that since you get 1 galette included.
The atmosphere is a little plain on the inside since the colors were very muted and simple, and there was no decor on the tables (other than the paper menus). We also have a feeling this spot will be a tough one to get a seat at since reservations are not being accepted when it first opens and the restaurant itself is pretty small. But, you can always opt to get a few savory or sweet options at the to-go window outside!
Overall, nothing we had at this new spot was bad, but nothing was knock-our-socks-off amazing. Still, it was good, tasty, and fun to try something new.
What do you think? Will you give this new spot a try? Will you go for the table service option or perhaps just get a few savory and sweet treats to-go? Tell us in the comments.
