Can You Tell What’s Missing From These Photos in Magic Kingdom?

When you go to Disney World nearly every day, like we do, you immediately notice when something is different or off.

Chip ‘n’ Dale have gone missing?

Sometimes it’s just stopping to wonder why someone would abandon a box of Dole Whips. Other times, we just have to stop and admire Disney ducks. And then there are times when we notice that something is missing.

Today’s tale is of the latter — we headed to Magic Kingdom today and noticed that something was off at the hub — can you spot the difference?

Something’s missing…

That’s right — the bronze character statues around the hub are MISSING! All that’s left are bare spaces on the ground where they used to be.

Where are the statues?

They used to look something like this! And they were spread out around the hub area.

But as of today, they are ALL gone — but we have a theory. As we’ve previously reported, Disney World is installing brand new GOLD statues of characters throughout the parks for the 50th Anniversary Celebration. And it’s likely that the old bronze statues are getting replaced with those gold statues for the anniversary VERY soon.

It looks so empty now…

Now we don’t have official confirmation from Disney that this is the case, but we’ll be checking out Magic Kingdom every day to see if our theory is correct. So stay tuned for more details… .
