First Look: Buffets are Back at Biergarten in EPCOT!

Buffets are returning to Disney World, starting recently with Boma at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Biergarten’s Buffet is back!

Now, they’re spreading to more restaurants, including Crystal Palace in Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Last week, we learned that Biergarten in EPCOT is also bringing back the buffet starting TODAY, so we’re heading to the Germany pavilion to see its return! 

We arrived at the restaurant, located in EPCOT’s World Showcase, and we checked in at the host stand and were shown to our table.

We soon headed off to the buffet to grab a plate.

There are signs posted at the restaurant indicating that masks must be worn indoors (except when stationary and actively eating and drinking).

This means we had to remain masked while getting our food at the buffet stations.

Many of our favorite German foods were available, including a variety of salads…

You might be as excited as we were to be reunited with their yummy Cheese and Beer Soup.

This stuff is GOOD.

They also have a big selection of Meats and Meat Dishes…

We loaded up our plates! Now, it’s on! Prost!

When Biergarten reopened last year, the food was served family-style, with pretzel bread, traditional sausages, rotisserie chicken, schnitzel, sauerkraut, spaetzle, and more. We saw those items and more on the buffet.

The entertainment is a big part of Biergarten’s charm! There’s a placard at the host stand with the times that live shows take place.

So while we ate, we waited for the first show! The area in front of the stage is still roped off, so it seems dancing is still not allowed at this time.

The band is still just as fun and energetic as they always are!
