REVIEW: There’s an 11 Ingredient Purple Lamborghini (?!) Moonshine in Disney World!
Well, it’s Thursday (aka FRIDAY EVE), which means it’s time for a trip to Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’! Frankly we’ll visit Homecomin’ on any day of the week that ends in a ‘y,’ but we were on a special mission today.
In addition to the incredibly delicious comfort food you can find here, one of the huge draws to Homecomin’ is their moonshine menu! But did you know that you can mix their moonshine together to create fun and unique combos?
It turns out you can request to mix any of their moonshines together, but we heard that one combo reigns supreme as the most requested combo! In fact, this combo is so popular, they went ahead and gave it its own name!
The Purple Lamborghini Moonshine Combo is a mixture of two of their moonshines on tap: RumShine Punch and Blue Hooch. These are both pre-mixed moonshines so there’s no substituting or customizing with these! Could we picture ourselves driving off into the sunset in a purple Lamborghini with Skrillex and Rick Ross blasting from the car radio as we sipped on this moonshine combo? Let’s find out!
For starters, this drink has eleven ingredients between the two moonshine cocktails! Its RumShine Punch is strawberry RumShine, blackberry brandy, banana liqeur, pinapple juice and house-made grenadine. Their Blue Hooch is Blue Flame moonshine, lemon-infused moonshine, blue curacao, house-made simple syrup, fresh lemon juice and a splash of Sprite.
As you might imagine, the Purple Lamborghini Moonshine Combo is S-T-R-O-N-G! Homecomin’ definitely is not lying when they warn guests that their Blue Hooch is their strongest moonshine on tap. We also found it to be super fruity! As that mega-long list of ingredients would imply, there’s a lot going on with this drink.
In fact, if you aren’t a big moonshine fan you may find this drink to be a bit too much! If you like your liquor neat or just mixed with something simple like soda, you may also find that this drink just has too much going on. If you like your drinks fruity, however, you actually may be surprised to find yourself a new drink!
We’ll also point out that this drink is not NEARLY as fun and colorful when we mixed it together! The red and blue combo gave us hope that we would get a vibrant purple drink (as the Purple Lamborghini name would suggest), but alas…we got a boring plum-looking color instead (we would really hesitant to call it plum, really it just became a blah red color).
Next time you’re at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’, give this moonshine combo a try for $13!
