WATCH: Disney Released a New ‘Mulan’ Featurette With TONS of Behind-the-Scenes Footage

After multiple delays for its theatrical debut, Disney’s live action remake of Mulan finally has an official release date! It’s coming out Friday, September 4th, on Disney+!

Between all of the new Mulan merch we’ve spotted around Walt Disney World and the brand-new movie trailer that debuted earlier this week, we thought we couldn’t get any more hyped for this new movie…

…And then, today, Disney released a new featurette detailing the making of Mulan, and uhhh, we got even more excited!

We knew that this live action imagining of one of our favorite Disney princess films was going to feature a lot of impressive martial arts and stunts, but we had nooo idea. The featurette centers around an interview with director Niki Caro, who details the hard work Mulan stars Liu Yifei and Donnie Yen put into the film. And, seriously, their martial arts skills BLEW us away!

With TONS of behind-the-scenes footage of training and choreography as well as some stunning shots from the film itself, we’re already prepping our popcorn and sodas so we can stream Mulan the second it premieres on Disney+. Don’t believe how cool this movie looks?! Watch the new featurette below.

Mulan will premiere on Disney+ on September 4th, and even if you are a paid subscriber to the streaming service, you’ll have to pay an additional $30 to watch Mulan. But by the looks of things, it’s going to be worth it!
