Progress Update! Take a Look at the Cinderella Castle Makeover Happening in Disney World!
It’s a bittersweet day here at Magic Kingdom as things begin to wind down for Disney World’s temporary closure happening at end of day Sunday.
But since the parks are still open today, we figured we’d capture a few more last glimpses of Cinderella Castle as the icon continues to receive its “royal makeover”. Let’s check in on how the work is progressing!
So these castle pics aren’t as magical as the Make-Your-Own PhotoPass Magic Shot we shared with you yesterday that was sent to us by one of our readers, but at least you can see how Cinderella Castle’s refurb is coming along!
While the cranes were up when we first entered the park, they quickly came down so guests could admire the castle as it starts to be painted pink and painted blue!
You can spot the new dusty rose color and brighter blue turrets getting painted. The blue really POPS don’t you think? The colors really remind us of the recent changes made to Sleeping Beauty Castle.
The moat around the castle is still currently drained to make it easier for Cast and Crew Members to add that extra pixie dust to the Cinderella Castle we know and love!
At this time, Disney hasn’t shared with us any information about continuing or halting construction projects during the park’s temporary closure, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated as we learn more.
Until then, check out our Disney World FAQ here where we’re answering all your questions and concerns about Disney’s decision to shut down momentarily.
