Disney Cruise Line Refund Information For Sailings Affected By Coronavirus Cancellations
As a response to the Coronavirus outbreak, Disney is taking every precaution necessary to protect its guests and employees (even closing Disneyland and Disney World).
And, although the Disney Cruise Line is reimbursing passengers and updating its procedures, the ships will also follow behind the parks by canceling cruises throughout the month.
Starting March 14th, the Disney Cruise Line will stop new sailings through the end of March on all ships. During this time, Crew Members and shoreside Cast Members will still be compensated.
According to Disney officials: “The Disney Dream will depart on a three-night cruise from Port Canaveral as scheduled on Friday, March 13, and will return to Port Canaveral on Monday, March 16. The Disney Fantasy and Disney Magic will return to port on Saturday, March 14. The Disney Wonder, which is currently in the midst of a westbound Panama Canal cruise, will continue on its scheduled itinerary, with guests disembarking in San Diego on Friday, March 20.”
Due to the number of departure cancelations, the cruise line will offer the use of a future cruise credit or an option for a full refund to guests whose vacations are impacted. Since there are is a high number of calls at the Call Center, the Disney Cruise Line advises that guests wait to contact them until after they have received an email or their travel agents have about their upcoming sailings.
