BBQ, We’re Ready for You! Regal Eagle’s Roof Is Being Constructed in Disney World!
The Epcot Transformation is truly in full swing!

We are SO excited for everything coming to Epcot in the next few years! From eating in Space 220, to riding along with our favorite little chef on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, there’s a lot to look forward to in Epcot this year. One opening that we are oh-so-close to is Regal Eagle Smokehouse, an upcoming BBQ joint that’ll be opening in the America Pavilion. Today we checked in to see the latest progress on how the upcoming restaurant is coming along.
While originally slated for a December 2019 grand opening, construction of Regal Eagle is still ongoing! We are eagerly awaiting the opening of this BBQ-joint which, according to Disney, “takes its name from Sam Eagle” – our fave patriotic Muppet will even be on-hand to host “a centennial cook-off”! WE CAN’T WAIT!

While we saw the opening of the outdoor seating area and patio for the restaurant, the walls around the restaurant itself are still up, with a few things being worked on. It looks like progress is being made on the roof of the building, which is what we spotted construction workers working on today!

Although Disney hasn’t released an updated opening date, construction is definitely progressing, so we have our fingers crossed that we delicious BBQ (and Sam the Eagle) are in our very near futures!
