What’s New in Epcot — Construction Updates, Baby Yoda Merchandise, and a Pop-up Bar!
Grab your passport! We’re headed to Epcot!
Hi all! We’re back today in Epcot as we gear up for the New Year in Disney World. Of course, Epcot is getting in on the prep for festivities, but there are a few more updates around the park as well. Check out all the ways that Epcot is finishing up 2019 in food, construction, and merchandise!
Epcot Food Updates
World Showcase
First up, there’s a brand new drink over at La Cava del Tequila in the Mexico Pavilion called the Black Magic Margarita. This cocktail is a yummy frozen blend of Mezcal, blackberry puree, cassis liqueur, lime, and mint. What makes this marg so special? The recipe was developed by Neil Patrick Harris himself! Give it a taste for $21.

Next up, Pizza al Taglio has reopened in the Italy Pavilion. This seasonally-operated pizza window is a great place to get a taste of the fare of Via Napoli without the time commitment or need for a reservation!
We tried out the authentic and cheeeesy pepperoni slice (Just look at those pepperoni cups!)…
…and the to-die-for Arancini (which is basically the most cheesy, crispy, yummy deep-fried rice balls!).

Interestingly enough, we spotted an addition to the menu of the American Holiday Table Holiday Kitchen that’s up for the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays. Now you can grab a glass of the Florida Orange Groves Winery Cranberry Sparkling Wine for $12.
Les Vins des Chefs de France added an outdoor pop-up bar location! We’re not sure if this is temporary to accommodate holiday crowds or if it could be a permanent installation so we’ll be sure to keep an eye on it.
AND we no longer have to limit the options for our caffeine fix as the temporary Starbucks location is now open on the World Showcase. Don’t worry, their pastry case is stocked!
Bonus! We spotted the Mickey Peanut Butter Tart that we love so much is BACK in the ‘Bux case too!

Epcot Construction Updates
Future World
Movin’ on to construction! You know we had to see if we could spot progress on Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind. There are definitely some signs of work being done but the area is hidden from guest view pretty well so it’s difficult to guess specific progress!

The same goes for Space 220 progress. The outside is pretty solidly green now but there isn’t much visible change to the structure. All we know is we can’t WAIT For the projected opening in February.

World Showcase
Over around World Showcase Lagoon, we spotted some construction too! The Italy Pavilion is seeing a pretty serious structure go up in preparation for New Year’s Eve festivities…
…and Regal Eagle Smokehouse in the American Adventure Pavilion is seeing some SERIOUS progress like the patio structure rising above the construction barriers and some altered stairs. It really is starting to look closer to finished!
They’ve even got some of the concept picnic tables out on the pavilion. It’s good that things look like they’re wrapping up construction-wise because this restaurant is set to open in December — THAT’S ANY DAY NOW!
