What’s New in Animal Kingdom — Price Hikes, Plant-Based Tacos, and No More Smokey Bones!
Hey everybody! It’s time for another roundup of What’s New in Animal Kingdom!
This is where we roar about all the lastest foods, drinks, merchandise and events we’ve spotted at Disney World’s WILDEST park this week! There’s much to discuss, so let’s get started!
Food Update
If you’ve been following the news this week, you’ll know all about the major price increases we just saw throughout Disney World (including our beloved refillable mugs!) Animal Kingdom’s menus were no exception as you’ll soon see!
Multiple Locations
Animal Kingdom’s popcorn carts have increased its popcorn prices from $4.69 to $4.99. Sadly we’ve seen many fan favorites foods this week such as Mickey Pretzels and Mickey Bars receive price increases across the entire resort.

Discovery Island
Tiffins
As Disney began rolling out their new vegetarian and plant-based offerings across all of their table-service resturants at both Disney World and Disneyland, some tasty new vegetarian options found their way onto the menu at Tiffins!
While they’ve removed the Shrimp and Grits and Crispy Sadza Corn Cake with Pork Belly
from its printed menu (note — we haven’t seen these changes reflected on their online menu yet) Tiffins added Plant-Based Tacos for $12 with avocado and plant-based cheese on its appetizers menu.
Tiffins main courses now include a North African Spiced Tofu vegetarian offering…
…while the vegetarian-version of the Crispy Sadza has stayed put! Sorry all you fans of the pork belly one, but at least you can still have your corn cake (and eat it, too!)

Nomad Lounge
Right next door, Nomad Lounge has added Fish Tacos to their small plates menu.
We love this secluded little spot nestled away next to the busy footbridge that leads into Pandora. Nomad Lounge isn’t usually very crowded and you can order many of the same apps and cocktails available at Tiffins!
Stay tuned for a review from our most recent trip to Nomad Lounge — coming soon!
Pizzafari
What happens when you mix a pizza joint with animals you spot in the wild? You get Pizzafari — our next stop!

Pongu Pongu
At Pongu Pongu, we were worried when we didn’t see the Pongu Lumpia listed on its menu…
But a friendly Cast Member told us their menu boards were incorrect and that the Pongu Lumpia was still available! If you’ve never tried the Pongu Lumpia, you’ll probably either love it or hate it! Maybe it should be called Polarizing Lumpia, instead!
We just happen to LOVE it!

At this new art booth, you can create one-of-a-kind pieces of art to remember your trip to Animal Kingdom! Looks like the more hands and fingers you add to your artwork, the more it’ll cost!
Take a look at these adorable, colorful birds made from handprints!
Or this spooky-looking Halloween tree made with fingerprints! Too cute!
