What’s New at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge — Oktoberfest Cupcakes, Trading Pins, and Halloween Donuts!
Hello there, friends! Welcome to our latest roundup of What’s New at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge!
We have new treats, merchandise, and construction updates to chat about today, so let’s get started!
Wilderness Lodge Food Update
We discovered two new fall treats during our visit to Roaring Fork! The Halloween Donut is covered in glaze, decked out in festive sprinkles, and topped with a super cute white chocolate-covered pretzel.
We really enjoyed this donut! It was flaky and airy, just like a Krispy Kreme donut. The pretzel was a bit stale, though. While we didn’t necessarily need alll those sprinkles, kiddos will certainly love this adorable Halloween treat! You can get it for $2.19.

We also tried the Oktoberfest Cupcake, which is a dark beer chocolate cake with bittersweet cream filling and cinnamon buttercream. It’s topped with cinnamon candies, chocolate beer pretzels, and a chocolate beer bottle!
The toppings were the star of the cupcake! We LOVED the cinnamon buttercream and the bittersweet cream filling blew us away. The flavors were just super unique, fall-like, and yummy! Annnnd we were happy to have a cupcake that wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet and that both looked good and tasted good.

We also noticed that Roaring Fork was featuring their new plant-based offerings on the menu, like the Zesty Slaw “Burger”. No longer available are the Vegetarian Pita and the Tuna Salad Sandwich.
Whispering Canyon Cafe has also updated its breakfast and lunch menus with the plant-based symbols, but their dinner menus were still printing during our visit.

Wilderness Lodge Construction Update
The front lobby floors that were blocked off during our last visit have been refinished and they look great!
They’re super shiny, aren’t they??
Wilderness Lodge Merchandise Update
While were meandering around the lobby, we saw that the Pin Station had the limited edition Terrifying Transformations and The Nightmare Before Christmas pins.
Perhaps you want to add The Evil Queen pin to your collection?
Or maybe The Mayor of Halloween Town ($17.99)…
…or Jack Skellington ($15.99) is more your style!
In The Mercantile, we spotted the adorable new Nightmare Before Christmas Wishables, which you can learn all about here! You can either get a Mystery Bag with a surprise Wishable or an Oogie Boogie Wishable for $9.99!
Also in The Mercantile, we spotted a couple pieces of Disney Vacation Club merchandise we’ve found at other DVC resorts around Walt Disney World. We found a DVC tote…
…and a set of DVC patches!
Finally, we want to note that the October activities guide for Wilderness Lodge is featuring “Spooktacular Thursdays” each week for the month.
Here’s the schedule of all the activities you can experience each Thursday!
