We have lots of construction updates, new Cast Member costumes and merchandise to discuss, so let’s get started!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios Construction Update
Skyliner Station
We noticed more of the walls were coming down around the new Hollywood Studios Skyliner Station in anticipation of the grand opening of Disney’s Skyliner Gondola System on September 29th!

Hollywood Boulevard
On a stroll down Hollywood Boulevard, we noticed several Cast Members were sporting new costumes!

We spotted the Cast Members of the popcorn cart and the pretzel and churro cart by the Chinese Theater wearing these colorful new looks.

Is it just us or are these new outfits reminiscent of the old Great Movie Ride Cast Member costumes? Although we’re still a bit bummed about The Great Movie Ride closing last year, we’re really looking forward to riding Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway which is taking over its place!
Chinese Theater
Speaking of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, we noticed a couple of new construction walls were in the front of the Chinese theater, just outside of the side doors.

Animation Courtyard
In the Animation Courtyard, a new Maleficent: Mistress of Evil preview is showing from 10:00AM to 8:00PM on Fridays and Saturdays.
There wasn’t any signage about the Maleficent preview in the Animation Courtyard yet, but the sneak peek was listed on the Hollywood Studios times guide.

In Celebrity 5 & 10, we found a new Belle Phone Case for $29.99…

We also spotted two new versions of the fuzzy Character Headbands that have been making their way around the parks — a Mike Wazowski version…

Both are $27.99 and will most likely be available at other locations soon like the Buttercup Headband we spotted last week.
Once Upon a Time
At Once Upon a Time, we discovered a new Arendelle Aqua Mickey Pillow!

Over by the merch cart near Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, we discovered this new-to-us Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion Button Set for $9.99.
