We Tackled the New CHEESE CRAWL at Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival!

TODAY is the opening day of the 2019 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival!

2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival

We’ve already tried allll the new menu items from every single food booth, so we decided to take on a new challenge — Emile’s Fromage Montage!

Emile’s Fromage Montage

What is Emile’s Fromage Montage? We’re so glad you asked — it’s a NEW cheese crawl! If you remember the cookie stroll from last year’s Festival of the Holidays, this works pretty similarly.

In your Food and Wine Festival Passport (free!), you’ll turn to pages 39-41 and find listed the locations of five cheesy eats and six empty circlesPurchase the five menu items as you enjoy the Festival, collecting a stamp at each food booth where you find the snacks.

Once you’ve completed the crawl, make your way to the Shimmering Sips Mimosa Bar for your Complimentary Cheesecake!

So while we’re game to eat six cheese-centric eats on any given day, you’ll want to see what you’re in for. First up, the IMPOSSIBLE Cottage Pie from Earth Eats. This vegetarian dish consists of ground meat with carrots, mushrooms, and peas topped with mashed cauliflower, white beans, and mozzarella. You can get it for $5.00 or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit.

Next up, from The Cheese Studio: the Black Pepper Boursin Souffle with Fig Marmalade. This will also cost you $5.00 or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit.

One of this year’s NEW booths, The Alps, is offering their Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese for $5.00 or a snack credit. This is served with baby potatoes, cornichons, and a baguette.

At the Germany booth, you’ll find Schinkennudeln, which is a pasta gratin with ham, onions, and cheese. This will probably be very popular with the kiddos, and you can get it for $4.25 or a snack credit.

The last item you’ll need to get before receiving your complimentary cheesecake is Pão de Queijo (aka cheese bread), which you’ll find at the Brazil booth for $4.50 or a snack credit.

If you make it through ALL five of these eats like we did, you can head to the Shimmering Sips Mimosa Bar to pick up your Complimentary Cheesecake!

As you can see, this treat is SUPER SMALL but we enjoyed the pineapple and coconut flavors of the cheesecake. We thought it was light and refreshing after our day of eating all the things at the Festival.

This was a fun challenge and we think families would enjoy doing it together. We personally would’ve liked to have our choice of ALL the cheese dishes, but if you’re planning to try these eats anyway, you might as well get a complimentary dessert!

It’s important to note that Emile’s Fromage Montage does involve waiting in several booth lines. These lines can get very long, so just keep that in mind before you start this challenge! As long as you’re up for waiting in a few lines, this would be a fun challenge for your family to complete.
