The 31 Things To Eat In Disney World If You’re Obsessed With CHEESE!!
Ahh, cheese: basically one of our favorite food groups here at DFB.
If you’re as obsessed as we are (and we are pretty passionate), you’ll want to know EXACTLY where you can find the best cheese in Disney, from killer mac to cream cheese frosting excellence and more! And, we’ve got the greatest list for you, friends… .
While we seriously could go on for hours, we have compiled a bunch of our favorite snacks, meals, and desserts with cheese that SHOULD be in the parks right now (though everything is subject to change at Disney!). We hope you’re hungry!! (Who are we kidding? We’re always ready to eat some cheese.)
Savory Cheesies
Salty, savory cheesies are always a good idea! Here are a few of the best that we’ve found on Disney World property!
Grilled Three-Cheese Sandwich
This one is served with tomato-basil soup dipper, potato barrels, or vegetable macaroni salad at Woody’s Lunch Box in Hollywood Studios for $8.99.
The mix of provolone, cheddar cheese, and a cheddar cream cheese spread onto artisan bread creates the perfect cheese pull, while also maintaining some great crunchiness! It also even has a hint of garlic for all you grown-up grilled cheese lovers!
Click here for our FULL review of Woody’s Lunchbox.
Grilled Cheese and Tomato Bisque
Find this incredible hidden gem at Beaches and Cream at Beach Club Resort for $13. Resting on sourdough bread, there are SIX different kinds of cheese that make up this grilled cheese.
Dipped in the creamy tomato bisque, it’s a flavorful combination you don’t want to miss. Click here for a review!
Grilled Cheese
LOOK at that, my cheese-loving friends. Served with gourmet pickles and tomato soup at the Boardwalk Bakery at Boardwalk Inn for $9.99, this grilled sammie tastes just like your mom’s grilled cheese except WAY. BETTER.
The gooey cheese on white bread also has pickles throughout the sandwich!! And, the tomato soup actually tastes like pizza sauce when you dip it in… Almost like a pizza grilled cheese (but tastier).
Pimento Grilled Cheese
Okay, you know how we feel about Planet Hollywood Observatory in Disney Springs — but this is just about the only thing we can whole-heartily recommend there! For $15.99, the six cheese mac and cheese and pimento cheese are piled high on garlic-buttered sourdough slices in this sandwich.
It’s messy, crunchy, and gooey — just like we like our grilled cheeses. Read our review of this beauty here!
Baked Macaroni & Cheese
Head over to Eight Spoon Café in Animal Kingdom to grab this epic counter service baked mac. Crispy on the top, filled with cheese on the bottom; there is just SO MUCH CHEESE baked into this thing, and we can’t get enough of it!
If you want to take your tastebuds to the next level, the smoky addition of the pulled pork and BBQ sauce or sweet chili sauced shrimp makes this dish insanely good.
We reviewed all three of the Baked Mac & Cheese options here!
Crispy Mac & Cheese Bites
Oh hai glorious, creamy mac, all fried up AND served with tomato nage AND sprinkled with pecorino cheese at Wine Bar George in Disney Springs! This is an unpretentious dish that has every right to be called upper crust.
Soft and melty mac and cheese marries well with the tomato nage. It’s basically the perfect grilled cheese with tomato soup vibe…but so much better. These small bites pack a lot of amazing flavor. So much that you’ll want to get another round.

Mac & Cheese Food Truck
YES — there’s a Mac and Cheese FOOD TRUCK. You’re WELCOME. Find this oasis of fromage at Disney Springs, and you’ll choose between items ranging from $8- $13.
With so many options to try, you can discover which combination is your own favorite (ours is the Six-Cheese Crunchy Macaroni and Cheese).
Click HERE to see our full review of the Mac and Cheese Truck!
Baked Macaroni & Cheese with Pulled Pork
What’s cookin’, good lookin’? This mac at Flame Tree Barbecue in Animal Kingdom is baked and piled high with smoked pulled pork, onion rings, and coleslaw. So, basically, it’s an entire MEAL made with some of our favorite comfort foods.
The texture of the crunchy onion rings differs from the smooth mac, making the consistency of each bite amazing for $11.99. Read our full review of the Baked Mac and Cheese with Pulled Pork here!
Nudel Gratin
It may not look like much, but when you dig into this baked mac from Epcot’s Sommerfest in the Germany Pavilion, you’ll understand why it makes our best-of list!
Super flavorful cheese is baked throughout (there’s no shortage on the cheese to mac ratio here), and it’s basically a transformative experience if you’re a cheese-head.

The Loaded Macaroni and Cheese
Yessssss… Find this one at the Epcot Food & Wine Festival every year. Check out what’s in this year’s version at Active Eats in Epcot for the 2019 Food & Wine Festival, starting August 29th!
While it’s not there ALL YEAR, it’s a must-get in the Fall! See why we put the Loaded Mac and Cheese on our Food & Wine Festival “My Little Piggy” crawl!
California Cheese And Charcuterie Plate
Multiple cheeses and items to pair them with?? You had us at 1+ cheese types! With this plate at BaseLine Tap House in Hollywood Studios, you get a little bit of crunchy and soft, sweet and savory, and all the deliciousness of the cheese for $10.
It’s a pretty great deal from an underrated hang-out. Check it out here.
Artisanal Manchego Cheese Vertical
At Toledo — Tapas, Steak & Seafood in Coronado Springs Resort, there are ALL the cheese plates. Um, have you seen their House Boards?! Yet, we’re partial to the manchego cheese on this plate, since it is reason ENOUGH to try the vertical.
The manchegos’ flavors may be strong, but they blend well with the other board features, especially the membrillo quince jam. It’s definitely a little pricey at $15, but this is HIGH. END.
See our full Toledo review — including the Vertical — here!
Oregon Chardonnay Fondue
While the type of fondue offered at Territory Lounge in Wilderness Lodge changes frequently, we recommend getting it no matter what.
Although, we have to say that the Oregon Chardonnay Fondue for $14 has a special place in our hearts (and our stomachs). See our review here!
Queso con Jalapeño
Creamy white queso with chips is a staple with Mexican food. This queso blanco at La Cava del Tequila in Epcot for $10, though, kicks Mexican spice up a notch with the chunks of jalapeño generously mixed with the cheese.
It’s basic, but when it works, it works. Get ready to chip and dip, you guys! See why it’s the best queso ever here!
Dubliner Irish Cheese & Bacon Dip
Huge chunks of bacon are dispersed throughout the aged Irish cheese in this dip at Cookes of Dublin in Disney Springs. While the flavor is strong, it can be enjoyed by anybody. Dip fish, fries, and (our favorite) onion rings in Dubliner Dip for a filling and mouthwatering snack for $5.50.
(Note that this one was taken off the menu for a couple of years. We lobbied HARD for its return. Go get some so we can prove how necessary it is!) See why this is a DFB Must Have here!
Corn Dog Nuggets Meal with Cheese Sauce
Two words: PLASTIC. CHEESE. We LOVEEE our plastic cheese* here at DFB, so we can’t make an entire post about cheese without including it obviously!! Oh, and for $9.99 at Casey’s Corner in Magic Kingdom, the corn dog nuggets are pretty good, too. (;
*Plastic Cheese isn’t really plastic. It’s a term coined by AJ Wolfe of Disney Food Blog to describe that fabulous liquid-y cheese you get at ball parks and bowling alleys. We’re not sure there’s any real food in there, but #stillworthit.
Read all about Plastic Cheese and Corn Dog Nuggets at Casey’s here!
Air Pirate’s Pretzels
This seriously jumbo pretzel is topped with various seeds and served with spicy German mustard and beer-cheese fondue at Jock Lindsay’s Hangar Bar in Disney Springs for $11.
While the pretzels are nice, you’ll want to ask for extra, EXTRA beer-cheese fondue (we already have). It’s the only bar-food dipping sauce you could ever need in your life. See more pics and a review here!
Pepper Jack Pretzel
We could go on and on about the Pepper Jack Pretzel. While it’s bumped around places like The Lunching Pad in the past, now it has settled over at Cheshire Café in Magic Kingdom for $6.59. (Note that it disappeared from menus for a year or two — we were so excited to see it return.)
Covered in tiny bits of toasted cheese on the outside, the inside of the pretzel is stuffed with LOTS of mildly spicy pepper jack cheese and jalapeño. It’s the perfect savory snack to munch on as you work your way through Magic Kingdom.
Check out the Pepperjack Pretzel here!
Beef Brisket Poutine
Beef, cheese, gravy, OH MY!! This dish at the Refreshment Port in Epcot for $8.99 beats your mom’s home-cooked meal (just don’t tell her we said that!).
You’ll want a fork to grab each ingredient as you dive into this poutine. And, guess what? You can grab the Beef Brisket Poutine at the Food & Wine Festival this year!
See why this made our Best of the Fest list for the Food & Wine Festival last year!
French Fries with Pulled Pork and Cheese
Potatoes, pork, and cheese?? We’re back at the Flame Tree Barbecue in Animal Kingdom for their big portions and big taste. Literally, this is more lunch than it is snack for $6.99 (also one of our MUST-DOs when it comes to Disney Dining Plan snack credits), and we are digging it!
Flame Tree Barbecue Pulled Pork and Cheese FriesThe plastic cheese on these fries melts wonderfully into the pulled pork. Drizzle some more BBQ sauce on there, friends!! You’ll be thanking us later.
We can’t get enough of these — see why here!
Watchos
Or, you can say “waffle fries with queso blanco, bacon, and scallions,” but it just doesn’t have the same ring to it. Although the waffles fries are so, so good at Rix Sports Bar & Grill in Coronado Springs Resort, the queso blanco that fills the bottom of the basket is terrific.
You can heap these fries in cheese for and STILL have some leftover. Tbh, we could just eat the queso with a spoon by itself on these watchos $12. Read our full review here!
Truffled Potato Chips with Point Reyes Blue Cheese Sauce
Okay, so, truffle chips are great on their own (we could eat an entire bag by ourselves)… But, adding a whole POOL of melted blue cheese sauce on top of them?
It’s the snack we didn’t know we needed, thanks to Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill in Disney Springs. And, now you definitely need to go try them for yourselves for $12! See this way-underrated plate of chippy goodness here!
Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup
The ICONIC Canadian Cheese Soup at Le Cellier in Epcot has a hint of smoky bacon and beer… And, SO MUCH CHEESE! Warm or cold outside — the temperature doesn’t matter because we could have this soup any time of the year.
Get yours for $12. And I KNOW you’re eating a heavy steak and I KNOW it’s hot outside…but I don’t care. Get it.
Read more about the Cheddar Cheese Soup here — and find out how you can make some for yourself with this recipe!
Mardi Gras Fritters
Sweet, spicy, and such a good appetizer at Boatwright’s Dining Hall in Port Orleans Riverside Resort!! The pimento cheese and layered pepper jelly add a kick to the crunch with each bite. As our server said at Boatwrights: “These are what mozzarella sticks want to be when they grow up.”
Since the flavors are pretty unique for $9, we think you should step outside your comfort zone for these little guys. Read our review here!
Fried Herb and Garlic Cheese
50’s Prime Time Café in Hollywood Studios prides itself on recreating meals straight from your mother’s kitchen. But this appetizer? We’re not so sure that anybody’s mama was making THIS.
I look forward to this on every visit. As strange as it sounds, the garlic and raspberry are DELICIOUS together. This is nine bucks, but we recommend NOT SHARING.
Read our review of the Fried Herb and Garlic Cheese here!
Anything with cheese at Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie
At the French bakery in Epcot, the fresh and aged cheese on their entrées and sides ranging from $3.95- $9.50 are seriously delicious. One of our favorites is the Brie Aux Pomme, or Brie and Apple Sandwich.
Inside the multigrain baguette bread, thinly sliced poached apples and soft brie are combined for an incredible sandwich. We highly recommend getting this one heated up so the cheese is melty and the apples are soft. Read our review of Brie Aux Pommes here!
We’ve given you some of our personal favorite savory cheesie recommendations… But, we know that dessert is just as important (; So, without further ado, we’re starting off the sweet cheesies!!
Sweet Cheesies
Carrot Cake Cookie
When it comes to cream cheese frosting goodness, you can’t beat the Carrot Cake Cookie at Trolley Car Cafe in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
While this one suffered a revamp a while back, it’s still worth the buy and offers plenty of carrot cake goodness and cream cheese excellence!
See our FULL Review of the NEW Carrot Cake Cookie HERE!
Fried Wontons
This twist on a classic item like fried won-tons at Yak & Yeti in Disney’s Animal Kingdom doesn’t disappoint. Paired with pineapples, sweet honey-vanilla sauce, and vanilla ice cream, the cream cheese is only slightly sweetened, which works PERFECTLY with the other flavors for $9.99.
Biting down into the crunch from the fried outside into the soft cream cheese on the inside makes your tastebuds happy dance. Check out our review here!
Cream Cheese Warm Stuffed Pretzel
Although the outside just looks like your regular run-of-the-mill pretzel from The Lunching Pad in Magic Kingdom, the inside is filled with sweet cream cheese that satisfies with Every. Single. Bite. We cannot recommend this snack enough, you guys. Seriously, just go grab one right now for $6.59!!
(Note that Disney buys a lot of these filled pretzels from the same place that Wawa buys them — so you may also find them at the local gas station for SUPER CHEAP.) Read all about Disney’s Cream Cheese Pretzel here!
49th and Broadway New York Cheesecake
If you like creamy, rich cheesecake, this dessert is for you!
The lemon curd, blueberries, and Chantilly are a lovely combination, and because it’s Amorette’s Patisserie, you know the actual cheesecake itself is AMAZING. Click here for our first peek at this cheesy treat!
Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse
While this dessert is obviously stunning, the surprising part of the mousse is that the highlight isn’t the blueberry — it’s actually the passion fruit curd on top!
The light, fruity flavors of this mousse mix extremely well with the delicious cream cheese, creating a tasty treat you’ll want to take the time for at Satu’li Canteen in Animal Kingdom’s Pandora for $5.29.
Check out our first review of Satu’li Canteen — including the Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse — here!
And, with that, we’ve reached the end of our cheesy checklist!
Now, we really want to go for a Cheese Walk throughout the entirety of Disney World. Who’s joining us?? (Don’t forget — there really IS a cheese walk this year at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. Check out the details HERE!)
