NEWS: Orlando Airport Will Be Closed for Hurricane Dorian — Disney World Flights are a No-Go!
If you’re planning to fly out for a vacation in Disney World, you may want to think again.
Just like Disney is taking precautions with park and resort cancellations, Orlando International Airport is following suit to ensure the safety of passengers.
Starting Monday at 2 AM, Orlando International Airport will be closed until further notice.
Since Hurricane Dorian has now slowed and is becoming stronger, it could easily develop into a Category 4 hurricane. To prevent any dangerous trips into Florida, flights are being canceled and the airport is planning to close ahead of the storm making landfall. Airport officials have advised passengers with booked flights to check with airlines for more information.
So, if you’re planning to visit Disney World for the opening of Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge this weekend, you’re probably better off staying at home.
Stay safe, everybody!!
