Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party welcomed its first guests of the season tonight, and we were among those who came ready to party. And by party, we mean eat!

That’s because Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party kicks off a season of often intricate and always creative Halloween treats, some of them exclusive to the Party and others available all day every day (which, by the way, is our preferred schedule of eating snacks).
So put on your costume with the stretchiest pants, and let’s taste our way through EVERY treat at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!
Yep, we ate them ALL — every single Halloween treat at the Magic Kingdom. And we’ve got plenty of photos and thoughts to share about each one. Come along with us!
Halloween Treats Available All Day
Main Street Bakery
Main Street Bakery is running wild with the Amuck, Amuck, Amuck Cupcake.

The first impression here is very good: it’s totally thematic and a cool design. The Sanderson Sisters are holding court over the cauldron, as well they should!

This all-day treat is Halloween in a cupcake with peanut butter chips, chocolate candies, and toffee baked in the vanilla cupcake itself.

The filling in the Amuck Cupcake is clearly labeled ‘caramel sauce,‘ which we expected to be oozy and unctuous like delicious witches’ brew. But in reality, the sauce immediately pooled at the bottom of the cupcake, causing it to fall apart as soon as we cut into it.

But the real showstopper here, in terms of appearances, is that cake cauldron on top! The colors are perfect for the holiday: bright, shimmering green and deep black.

But inside, there’s a little bit of cake surrounded by a ton of black frosting, so it’s also pretty gruesome. Beware your pearly whites; this frosting will stain your teeth!

The Halloween Cinnamon Roll is a returning favorite (see our first taste of this beastly roll here!) and features a colossal Mickey cinnamon roll with orange icing and a chocolate spider web.

We’ve long said this cinnamon roll would be even better with an extra drizzle of chocolate on top, and we stand by that. But it’s still fantastic, and as an all-day treat, it’s big enough to share with your crew for breakfast, too.
Casey’s Corner
Casey’s is holding down the fort on a simple chocolate brownie. They offered up a Mickey-fied version of this treat for Mickey and Minnie’s Surprise Celebration in May (see it here) and a Minnie Mouse version at last year’s Halloween Party (check that out here), but for the fall season, it’s Donald in a pumpkin.

This straightforward sweet treat is a fudgey chocolate brownie in the Disney-ubiquitous black ramekin topped with vanilla buttercream and a white chocolate medallion featuring our favorite duck.

This just so happens to be one of our favorite quick-service desserts. If you’re Halloween Party-ing with a picky eater, send them to Casey’s for this one.

Storybook Treats
The Maleficent Cone is taking over Storybook Treats once again!

This is a black waffle cone filled with lime soft serve. It’s topped with chocolate horns and a bit of purple sugar. As ice cream treats go, this one is pretty refreshing with a decent hit of citrus. But we’re in it for the chocolate horns, anyway. 
Note that this time around (the Maleficent cone has been back several times through the past couple of years), the cone seems squatter and wider. It looks like the same amount of lime dole whip inside, but the cone is shaped slightly differently.

Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies
We are ballistically excited for Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies this year because she. is. bringing. the. spice! Pumpkin Spice Soft Serve Sundae, to be exact!

This is a swirl of pumpkin spice soft serve (yes!) topped with caramel sauce and candy corn. We loved this! The pumpkin spice flavors come through in the creamy ice cream, and the caramel adds just a hint of butteriness.

All in all we were big fans. (Hate candy corn? Ask for this one without!)

But Auntie is taking care of the PSL lovers this year because she’s also churning out a Pumpkin Spice Milkshake!

Auntie has upped her fall milkshake game in 2019; last year she was serving up a Candy Corn Milkshake (check that out here), but this one is a lot more enjoyable. Again, the spices come through (it’s the same soft serve as the sundae — just blended).

And to top it off, there’s a Mickey marshmallow straw. (That’s a Mickey marshmallow on a wide paper straw, not a straw made of marshmallow which… can we get one of those? Trick or treat?)

The Pumpkin Spice Milkshake is listed as gluten-friendly, but be sure to ask about the candy garnish and the marshmallow!
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Exclusive Treats
Party-exclusive treats are just that: available only at the Party in a variety of locations. These are not included with the cost of admission; they’re all an extra cost. But in many cases, they are so worth it.
Casey’s Corner
For party exclusives at Casey’s you’ll find the “Now Begin Thy Magic Spell” drink…which, we admit, is a little clunky as far as names go. Even for Halloween.

This one was straight up cherry slush — pre-mixed in the slush machine — so there wasn’t a lot of “depth” to it, shall we say? Pretty much just tasted the cherry here — not a lot of the passion fruit, sprite, or lemonade came through.

But the white-chocolate-dipped (or completely dunked, in this case) apple slice was a fun ghostly touch.
Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe
Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe is serving up two Party-exclusive goodies. Hades Nachos have burned their way back in 2019 (we first enjoyed them last year). Hades Nachos are a base of black bean tortilla chips topped with Buffalo chicken, “plastic” nacho cheese, and anything you wanna add from the Fixin’s Bar.

We do love a nacho, and these are a great savory addition to the Party. They also bring a bit of heat with that Buffalo chicken, so do be prepared for some fiyah.
Also at Pecos Bill’s is a sweet offering called Billy’s Worms & Dirt. Last year the Worms ‘n’ Dirt here wasn’t specially Billy’s, but we appreciate the addition of William “Billy” Butcherson (of Hocus Pocus fame!) to the dish.

The Worms ‘n’ Dirt are made with “gluten friendly” cake crumbs, chocolate pudding, gummy worms, and a white chocolate tombstone. But if you’re gluten intolerant, be sure to double check!

This is another simple sweet, and we love it for that. Something about worms ‘n’ dirt brings us straight back to childhood, and now we’re ready for more trick-or-treating, thank you.
Golden Oak Outpost
Golden Oak Outpost is serving a trio of Party bites and bevs: a Caramel Pretzel, Cinnamon Donuts, and Frozen Apple Cider. The Cinnamon Donuts were available at last year’s Party (check them out here)!

They’re still fried golden brown and coated in tasty cinnamon sugar.
The Warm Caramel-Stuffed Pretzel is another repeat offering. It’s a big, doughy pretzel with a ribbon of caramel stuffed into its center.

This is a balance of sweet and savory with a heavier lean toward savory, so if you’re looking to get away from the sweets a little, and you’re a big fan of pretzels, this is a good option.

Golden Oak’s final Halloween Party item is a Frozen Apple Cider. Last year the cider here was chilled (just served over ice), so the Frozen version is a slushy step beyond.

We found this to be refreshing for its soft-frozen consistency, but it doesn’t come across as a rich, flavorful cider. It’s more like apple juice, and we think it’s likely because of the slushy preparation. Still, if you love slushies, you’ll enjoy this one. Just don’t go in hoping for that quintessential cider flavor.
Sleepy Hollow
Haunting the Party at Sleepy Hollow is the Headless Horseman Cheesecake. This is layers of chocolate mousse and chocolate cake coated in bright orange mirror glaze. (We saw a similar creation a couple of years ago at Gaston’s Tavern.)

Inside the cheesecake are chocolate crunchies, which add some needed pops of texture in the soft-on-soft creation.

It’s topped with a chocolate Headless Horseman piece printed with his arm holding a spooky jack o’lantern, and a dollop of pumpkin spice cream. The texture of this is closer to the Satu’li Canteen Blueberry Cheesecake than dense, rich cheesecake; but if you are looking for a soft chocolate mousse, this is tasty.

Sleepy Hollow also has — as per usual — a Mickey Waffle Sundae, this time in Chocolate. In the past we’ve seen pumpkin-flavored waffle sundaes here (and red velvet for the winter holidays), so we were excited to see how black chocolate waffles tasted. Turns out, they’re fairly subtle (unfortunately the black color seems to be mostly from food coloring, not chocolate itself).

But the pumpkin gelato served with the sundae: YES! The frozen consistency of the gelato makes it seem much lighter than the mousse in the Pumpkin Cheesecake, and it’s really delicious.

We’re saying you’ll probably go for the chocolate Mickey Waffles but stay for the pumpkin gelato.
Liberty Square Popcorn Cart
Liberty Square’s Popcorn Cart is just a stone’s throw away from the Haunted Mansion (a must at the Halloween Party!), and you’re definitely going to want to find it. The cart is selling Constance’s For Better or For Worse Wedding Cake.

You’ll recognize Constance as the murderous bride from the Mansion’s attic scene, and her cake is killin’ it, too. This is a mini tiered citrus cake layered with raspberry Bavarian cream, covered in glacage (mirror glaze), and decorated with buttercream pearls and flowers.

For the final grisly touch: a chocolate axe! Yeah, we get the point: this wedding cake comes with a side of terror!

Kudos to the Magic Kingdom bakery team on this one! Brilliant and delicious.
Storybook Treats
Fantasyland’s Storybook Treats will begin offering a Party-exclusive treat in September. It’s called Snake Eyes, and it looks funky! This bright-green concoction is a mix of Sprite, lime soft serve, and green apple flavoring. It’s garnished with gummy worms and light-up dice (hello, souvenir!).

Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe
Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe is offering the Berry Blaster, a glass of purple goodness that combines blue curacao, cherry lemonade, and Sprite.
A garnish of lemon and raspberries basically clues you in to the flavor game here: berry with a hint of citrus. But because it’s Sprite rather than lemonade, the Berry Blaster manages to be sweet rather than sour.

This is refreshing and tasty; get this if you’re in need of hydration in Tomorrowland.

And to chase your Berry Blaster: the Lots-O-Burger! We’ve seen Lots-O used as culinary inspiration before (see him at Disneyland Resort’s Pixar Fest here), and the presentation uses a similar technique to the Mickey’s Surprise Celebration Cheesburger we saw branded earlier this year.

The Lots-O-Burger is topped with brie fondue, an onion ring, and strawberry-bacon jam. Don’t worry: the strawberry is balanced out by the bacon in a delicious combination that doesn’t make this treat too sweet. (Remember the tasty strawberry glaze we tried at Backlot Express not too long ago? Turns out strawberry is delicious when it goes savory!)

If you’re looking for a tasty savory meal during the Party, the Lots-O-Burger is a good option!
Aloha Isle
You arrrrrrrrg going to want to try the Pirate’s Horizon at Aloha Isle. This drink combines pineapple, orange, and passion fruit juices on ice with a wedge of pineapple.

Though the Halloween Party is a nighttime affair, we loved this bright, sunshiney drink! But it DID get super sweet and syrupy there at the end, so after you take your sunset shot, stir this one a bit before tasting.

Cool Ship
Hades is keepin’ it spicy with his nachos over at Peco Bill’s, but at Cool Ship, the Hades Hatred beverage combines lemonade and (non-alcoholic) blue curacao with blueberry popping pearls and a swath of blue cotton candy.

In addition to its fun aesthetics, Hades Hatred is pretty tasty…once you get over the incredible sweetness that is cotton-candy-melted-in-your-drink!

Yep, this tasted like straight up blueberry sprite. But note that there weren’t any straws available at Cool Ship when we were there, so you may have to go begging at another counter service spot to actually drink this one through the cotton candy!

Cinderella Castle Snack Carts
The Jack Skellington Push Pop is returning to the Party, and this year he’ll be found at snack carts near Cinderella Castle.

Jack is comprised of layers of chocolate cake, vanilla buttercream, white and dark chocolate crisp pearls, and dark chocolate curls.We preferred Jack last year to the year previous (panna cotta blech), so we’re glad the push-pop features buttercream once again.
But Jack’s not alone this year! You can also get a Sally Cake Pop (!!!) at the Castle Carts, and this one is gluten-friendly!

Sally’s presentation is gluten-friendly vanilla cake, buttercream, and strawberry crispy pearls. Very simple — but delicious! That said, the gluten-friendly cake was very crumbly versus moist, so be prepared for that!

The tiny pops of strawberry from the crispy pearls is fun and fruity. If you’re after simple flavors, definitely get this one (even if gluten is your BFF).
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Souvenir Buckets and Sippers
Lucky for us, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party always brings the fun with themed souvenirs, and this year is no exception. Note that for all of the items below, Disney Parks Blog didn’t say where or even when these will be available (they only said “throughout the season”), but we’ll make note of where we spot them!
We’re starting with what’s sure to be the most coveted of all the souvenirs: the Hitchhiking Ghosts Collection! @DiningInDisney found this trio in Disneyland Resort last week, and now they’re available on the east coast, too! AND, we DID see them available at MNSSHP tonight!

Gus was at Golden Oak Outpost, Ezra was at Pecos Bill’s, and Phineas was at Liberty Square popcorn cart and Pecos Bill’s! Lines were SUUUUPER long, though, so if you want these guys, get ’em right away when you get to the park.
Here are some things to know: Phineas and Gus are buckets, and Ezra is a sipper (you can see the straw popping through Ezra’s hat). Click here to read all about these super cool collectibles!

This year there’s also a Mickey Pumpkin Balloon Popcorn Bucket, too. We LOVE a Mickey Balloon Popcorn Bucket, and this one is for sure made for displaying at home all season long! This was also available at the party tonight — we found it at the Castle popcorn cart, and at Storybook Treats popcorn cart.

Oogie Boogie is back to his popcorn bucket roots, but this time the design is a little more…ahem…in your face!
