Food Photos and Reviews! NEW Menu Items at the 2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival!

The opening day for the 2019 International Epcot Food and Wine Festival is almost here!

Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival

We know there are TONS of new booths and menu items hitting the promenade this year — from that AH-MAZING Raclette cheese at the Alps Booth to our-brand-new-favorite Mule Beer at Coastal Eats! And we TOTALLY got the chance to try a ton of them today! We can’t wait to share our reviews and photos with you!

Let’s take a look at some of the NEW items making their way to the 2019 International Food and Wine Festival. And fair warning, my friends, proceed with caution as you may leave this post hungrier than you expected!

New Booths to the 2019 Food and Wine Festival

The Alps

Calling all cheese lovers!! This is THE booth for you. The Alps is a new booth addition this year where you’ll find Swiss-inspired dishes like a Venison Stew with Crushed Potatoes and…be still my little cheese-lovers heart…a Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese with Baby Potatoes, Cornichons, and a Baguette.

Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese

So in addition to trying the raclette, we got to see what the process will be in the booth for scraping that gorgeous cheese from the melty block of raclette! It’s SO COOL! Check out our social media channels to see it in action!

The Alps

Anyway, the raclette — don’t miss it!

One of the new desert options will be the Blueberry and Almond Frangipane Tart. This is made with crème fraîche and Blue Diamond® Almonds. This one was very light and our reviewers loved it. The pastry cream was very flavorful — perfect with the fruit!

The Alps will also serve Rosé De Gamay.

Appleseed Orchard

Appleseed Orchard is another new booth addition to the Food and Wine Festival. Here, you will find a Charcuterie and Cheese Plate that features Burton’s Maplewood Farm Applejack Brandy Barrel Aged Maple Syrup and Caramel-Apple Popcorn.

Appleseed Orchard Sign

The apple-inspired beer flight was pretty dangerous considering it tasted like straight apple juice!! So GOOD but BEWARE!!

The Donut Box

Now, y’all, CHECK IT OUT! If you were wondering what happened to all the cronuts this year…we’ve got the answer! Another new booth was JUST announced! The Donut Box will open at the festival on October 1st…and it sounds like it’s replacing Taste Track, which always offered the festival cronut options!

This location will have a Black and White Coffee Cocktail garnished with a fresh yeast donut sprinkled with chocolate espresso bean crumbles. This was our favorite of the alcoholic options we tried today. Though it was STRONG, we loved the flavors and SUPER LURVED the donut. (True, it’s not a cronut…so maybe cronuts have had their day at Disney. We’ll keep you updated.)

Black and White Coffee Cocktail

The Donut Box will also have a Sweet Corn Fritter with Fresno and red pepper jelly, Strawberry-dusted Yeast Donut Holes, and a Strawberry Smoothie made with Blue Diamond Breeze Almondmilk®. There will also be festival exclusive beer called Boston Cream Donut Ale created by Central 28 Beer Company (DeBary, Fla.). Looking forward to that last one… .

Cool Wash

Mo’ Betta’ with the extra booths!! We’ve got another new addition JUST ANNOUNCED today! Cool Wash — which is an existing location at Epcot — will be transformed into a new booth experience for the Food and Wine Festival this year.

Cool Wash

Here you will be able to create frozen beverages with slushy flavors like Orange Cream and Blue Raspberry. There will also be a bunch of fun mix-ins like Swedish Fish, Boba Pearls, Jelly Drops, and Pop Rocks!

Get your kids ready for some SURRIOUS SUGAR.

Returning Booths with New Menu Items

Thailand

Thailand will be serving up a Shrimp with a Cold noodle salad.

Thailand Festival Booth

This looks very similar to the one served last year, but this time no scallop cake is being served with the dish.

Shrimp and Cold Noodle Salad

The sauce was excellent and the shrimp were a good size. But overall the dish wasn’t super memorable on this go ’round.

Islands of the Caribbean

The Islands of the Caribbean will be serving up their Jerk-spiced Chicken in an all-new way this year. You can expect to see this fan-favorite grilled ON STAGE! The Jerk-spiced Chicken is served with roasted sweet plantain salad and mango chutney.

Islands of the Caribbean Booth

Last year it was served as a lollipop; but the presentation seems to be a bit different this year, likely thanks to how it’s being cooked.

Africa

A new vegan dish to Africa is the Spicy Kenyan Vegan Githeri with white beans, pigeon peas, curry rice pilaf, and kachumbari slaw.

Africa Festival Booth

We thought that this was extremely flavorful without being heavy. It’s a great option when you want a substantial dish without being weighed down.

Coastal Eats

New to the Coastal Eats menu this year is the Pacifico Striped Bass Tostada with slaw and fire-roasted tomatillo sauce.

Coastal Eats

The Pacifico Striped Bass Tostada had a little bit of heat, which we were totally there for. We also really enjoyed the crunch that the tostada added and we loved the flavors of the sauces.

Pacifico Striped Bass Tostada

Short’s Brewing Co. Mule Beer is a festival exclusive. We thought that this drink tasted JUST LIKE a Moscow Mule and we think it will be a great option to cool guests down during the early (still WAY HOT) days of the festival.

Active Eats

Looking for a mid-day pick-me-up?!

2018 Active Eats

Then head over to Active Eats for their new Fruit and Nut Snack Bar. This is made with pecans, almonds, toasted coconut, chocolate chips, and drizzled chocolate on top. This one was crunchy and fun, but has enough protein from the nuts to keep you going around the showcase. It’s a fun option for kids to get into the mix.

Australia

Australia is servin’ up the new Deconstructed Pavlova, which is made with pastry cream, citrus-macerated berries, and lemon myrtle meringue.

Australia Booth

We loved the crunch from the meringue and the fruit was uber fresh and delish! But I’m intrigued to see the price point on this. It’d better not be too over the top for a few berries and some sugar-air… . Just sayin’.

Shimmering Sips Mimosa Bar

Disney has brought back three of last year’s most popular mimosas to the Shimmering Sips Mimosa Bar, the Topical, Blood Orange, and Key Lime.

Shimmering Sip Mimosa Bar

And this year they have decided to make a flight out of them! So you will get 4oz of each!

Mimosa Flight

The mimosas were all super sweet and we could hardly taste the alcohol at all! So be careful with this one!
