BREAKING NEWS! Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Details Announced!!
Earlier this week, we shared the OFFICIAL name of the Star Wars Hotel coming to Walt Disney World: Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser!

But today D23 shared a few more HUGE details about this new, fully-immersive resort. Hop on board as we travel at lightspeed to take a deeper look into Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser!!
This all-new Resort experience will offer a two-night itinerary, meaning that guests will arrive and depart together, much like a cruise. But, unlike a cruise, this resort experience will allow guests to become heroes of their own Star Wars story.

Your journey will begin as you aboard the Halcyon which is “known for its impeccable service and exotic destinations.” Once onboard, guests will stay in “well-appointed cabins, experience onboard dining [!!!], make a planet-side excursion to Black Spire Outpost on Batuu, and more.”
You will check-in for your travels at the Galactic Starcruiser Terminal. After this, you will enter a Launch Pod that will transport you into space. And after check-in, you will watch through windows as you leave the real world behind and “jump to hyperspace and draw closer and closer to the Halcyon.”

And get this, according to Disney, “every window in the Halcyon – including those in each cabin – has a view of the galaxy beyond, with ever-changing vistas as the ship progresses from place to place.” Goodbye, real world!

Disney also gave us a first-look into one of the onboard dining experiences, though no details have been released at this time! It looks as if there will be some sort of bar and lounge — with the possibility of character interactions! (We even spy a drone in the concept art!)

Onboard Activities
Onboard, guests will find a bunch of different activities. They will also be able to interact with characters, crew, and fellow passengers. You may even spot Rey and Chewie walking around! And be warned: Kylo Ren and the Stormtroopers may make sure that their presence is known onboard the Halcyon.

Guests will learn to wield a lightsaber while “facing off against a training remote, where you may discover your own connection to the Force.”

You will also be able to visit the starcruiser’s Bridge. Here you will learn about the ship’s systems and maybe even learn how to operate them! This will include both navigation and defense, so you’ll be prepared for anything on your voyage!

These are just a few of the experiences you will be able enjoy on board the Halcyon.
The Immersive Experience
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is designed to be an immersive experience, and according to Disney, the choices you make on the Halcyon will determine how your Star Wars story will progress. In addition, the ship will also have a few hidden spaces “deep in the mechanics of the ship – perfect for uncovering secrets … or holding secret meetings.” I wonder what secrets we will uncover!

Disney also announced that bookings will be available soon, so we’ll update as soon as we hear! No official pricing or opening date details have been released at this time, so we’ll just have to keep daydreaming about our time onboard Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser!
