We’ve got a great new way to pretend you’re at the beach this summer!

Bengal Barbecue

Although I’m not sitting on a beach chair with a drink in my hand, this new poke bowl in Disneyland is a great way to transport myself to the shore.

Prowling through Adventureland in Disneyland, Bengal Barbecue has a variety of skewers, breadsticks, and hummus trios to accompany their latest Hawaiian dish.

Despite actually being on a plate, the fresh poke bowl contains Ahi Tuna mixed with spicy mayo, pickled ginger, edamame-cucumber slaw, jasmine rice, sesame seaweed salad, avocado, green onions, and fried wonton strips. It’s complete with a side of ginger-lemongrass soy dressing for dipping.

Bengal Barbecue has another hit on their hands with this menu addition! The tuna itself has a small kick to it, thanks to the spicy mayo — it’s a great combo with the lighter flavors of the jasmine rice and avocado slices. The soy dressing adds more — and customizable — depth to the dish. The wonton strips offer a nice crunch and texture variation to the otherwise soft parts of the poke bowl. While the sesame seaweed salad was tasty, our reviewers noted that the edamame-cucumber slaw was a pass due to its distinct sliminess.

Available for the price of $13.49 regularly and $12.36 for Annual Passholders, the poke bowl at Bengal Barbecue is worth snacking on as a healthier, tropical meal!
