Aunt Polly’s in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is an adorable little counter service restaurant on Tom Sawyer Island that’s rarely open, and is usually only serving during holidays and very busy times in the parks.

While the restaurant was supposed to be open and serving during this holiday week, we’ve had reports from our readers that it’s not been welcoming guests as planned. Here’s what you need to know about the situation:
A cast member in the Magic Kingdom told us that there’s been a maintenance issue (a water pipe leak, specifically) on the island, requiring Aunt Polly’s to delay or halt their opening. According to the cast member we spoke with, it will be a daily decision whether or not Aunt Polly’s will open during this holiday timeframe.

Guests who are interested in visiting the restaurant on the island this week should check with @WDWToday — the official Walt Disney World twitter account — on the day you’d like to visit to confirm whether the restaurant will be opening or not before you board your raft to head all the way over!
