The 2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival Guide is HERE!

One of the fun extras in the DFB Guide to the 2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival is our chapter on Festival Food Crawls! The crawls give you a chance to experience eats with a theme including cheese, dessert, beer, Food & Wine Classics, and more!

This year we have an all-NEW crawl in the Guide called the “This Little Piggy” Crawl and it’s perfect if you love bacon and booze! It stops at seven of the food booths at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival where you’ll order either a dish or a drink with bacon, pork, or a pig theme. Yes, there IS a drink with pork 🐷.

Bring your appetite – it’s time for a food crawl!

Booth 1: Active Eats

Your first stop on the crawl is at Active Eats where you’ll order the Loaded Macaroni & Cheese with Nueske’s® Pepper Bacon, Cheddar and Leeks.

Loaded Mac ‘n’ Cheese with Nueske’s® Pepper Bacon, Cheddar Cheese, Peppers and Green Onions

This dish is one of our Festival favorites and will be a hit with those who love Mac and Cheese and BACON!

Booth 2: Brazil

Next up, make your way to Brazil for a date with the Crispy Pork Belly with Black Beans, Tomato and Onions.

Crispy Pork Belly with Black Beans and Tomato

This is another Festival favorite and is a must-have when you’re working your way through the pork dishes at the Festival.

Next, we’re headed north in our quest for all things BACON!

Booth 3: Canada

A stop at the Canada booth is always a MUST whether you’re doing a food crawl or not because the food is SO GOOD. Here you’ll order the legendary Canadian Cheddar Cheese and Bacon Soup served with a Pretzel Roll.

This soup is so good you’ll probably want to order two.

At this point in your bacon and booze quest, it’s time to quench your thirst with the first of two piggy-inspired drinks at the Festival!

Say Nǐ hǎo to China!

Booth 4: China

This year is the Year of the Pig (so apropos for this crawl, right?) and the China booth is celebrating with a NEW cocktail — Year of the Piggy made with Light Rum, Triple Sec, Lychee Syrup, Lime Juice and Sprite.

We can’t wait to sip on this new drink when the Festival opens! What a fun way to celebrate the Year of the Pig!

The next stop on the crawl also features a drink but it’s a weird one.

You’ve been warned.

Booth 5: Flavors From Fire

At Flavors From Fire you’ll find the Swine Brine. This concoction features Jim Beam Bourbon, Dijon mustard, apple cider, lemon juice, and a whole piggy wing (because why NOT?).

This drink earned a spot on our Best of the Fest a couple of years ago — under the header of “weird and interesting” — and honestly it’s not THAT bad, tasting primarily like apple cider and bourbon and not much like mustard or lemon juice…or pork (thankfully).

Once you’ve survived the Swine Brine you’ve got two more booths to hit up — and we promise no more weird drinks are involved.

Booth 6: Italy

Stop in Italy for the new-for-2019 dish Ravioli Carbonara: Parmesan and Pecorino Ravioli, Egg Yolk, Cream, and Bacon!

Ravioli Carbonara — cheese ravioli and bacon!! — sounds amazing and we can’t wait to try it when the Festival opens!

And finally, the “This Little Piggy” Crawl ends in Mexico with a new taco dish!

Booth 7: Mexico

You’ll end your bacon-and-pork-filled quest in Mexico noshing on the new-for-2019 Taco de Puerco: Shredded Pork Belly on a Corn Tortilla with Salsa Verde.

Shredded Pork Belly in a taco? Sí por favor! Add to this our list of dishes we can’t wait to eat at this year’s Epcot Food and Wine Festival.

And with that last dish in Mexico you’ve completed the “This Little Piggy” Crawl at the 2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival!
