Pandora’s Mo’ara Margarita Got a Makeover — Check Out Its New Flavor (And Color) Here!

Oel ngati kameie from Pandora in Disney’s Animal Kingdom! (That’s a local greeting. 🙂 )  Today we have a NEW (well…kinda) cocktail for you from the Valley of Mo’ara!

Mo’ara Margarita

Re-introducing the Mo’ara Margarita! But what do we mean by reintroducing? Let us explain…

Pongu Pongu

When Pandora – the World of Avatar first opened, the local snack stand was (and still is) Pongu Pongu. It’s a great spot to grab a Pandora exclusive beer or snack — like the Pongu Lumpia, which is still one of our favorites.

But when Pongu Pongu first debuted, the Mo’ara Margarita was made with Sauza Conmemorativo Anejo Tequila, strawberry and blood orange flavors, and topped with Strawberry Boba Balls.

Mo’ara Margarita

It was good — we didn’t have any real complaints other than it wasn’t anything super unique flavor-wise, and the tequila didn’t really shine through. It basically just tasted like a frozen Strawberry margarita, not that that’s a bad thing. But on our most recent trip to Pandora, we realized something was a little different…

Pongu Pongu Mo’ara Menu Update

…the Mo’ara Margarita is now BLUE! (Has Merryweather been here?) Of course we had to try it!

NEW Mo’ara Margarita

The frozen drink is now made with Sauza Conmemorativo Anejo Tequila and Blue Curaçao with lime juice, and topped with Passion Fruit Boba Balls.

Passion Fruit Boba Balls

The same way the previous version basically tasted like a frozen Strawberry Margarita, this tastes basically just like a traditional frozen Lime Margarita. The Blue Curaçao helps the Tequila shine through, so this one does taste a little more alcoholic than its predecessor. Still, it’s not super strong by any means. The Passion Fruit Boba Balls are clearly passion fruit — you’ll taste it when they POP in your mouth.

So which one is better? Honestly it depends on which flavor of margarita you like! If you prefer Strawberry margs, you may miss the original recipe. But if you lean towards Lime, then this is the one for you!

We give the nod to the updated version because the alcohol shines through slightly more, and honestly — look how pretty it is!! If you’re looking for a cool, refreshing, Instgrammable drink in Pandora, then this certainly fits the bill!
