Fourth of July Fireworks — and More! — in Walt Disney World!
If you’re celebrating Independence Day 2019 in Walt Disney World, you’ll want to know about all of the red, white, and blue happenings in the parks!
Magic Kingdom and Epcot will both be presenting patriotic fireworks displays and more. And guess what? Even if you aren’t going to be in Disney World, there is still a way to enjoy the All-American fun…
Magic Kingdom
The Fourth of July is so nice, they celebrate it twice in Magic Kingdom! As in years past, guests will be able to enjoy “Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” fireworks spectacular set to patriotic songs on both July 3rd and 4th at 9:15 PM. And Disney fans at home can enjoy a live stream of the show on Disney Parks Blog on July 4th!
Additional fun for guests in the park will include a Hoedown Throwdown complete with a DJ in Frontierland, and a Galactic Gathering in Tomorrowland.
And, though it can be seen year ’round, Independence Day is the perfect day to stop by Liberty Square to see Muppet friends like Miss Piggy, Kermit, Fozzie Bear and more reenact historic moments in “The Muppets Present … Great Moments in History” presented several times throughout the day!
(Check your My Disney Experience app or the Times Guide for showtimes.)
Magic Kingdom park hours will be: July 3, 8 a.m.-12 a.m.; July 4, 8 a.m.-1 a.m.
Epcot
IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth will feature a patriotic Fourth of July grand finale. “The Heartbeat of Freedom” fireworks will begin immediately following the 9 p.m. showing of IllumiNations.
(Don’t forget, IllumiNations ends its run on September 30, 2019, so this will be the final Fourth of July when you can catch it.)
Voices of Liberty will perform American songs at a Fourth of July concert at the America Gardens Theatre stage at 5:30, 6:45 and 8 PM. And at 2:00 and 3:00 PM, Voices of Liberty will perform in the rotunda inside The American Adventure pavilion.
Disney pals will be wearing their “Spirit of ’76” patriotic outfits to meet and greet guests at The American Adventure during the day on July 4th!
And while we await further details, Disney has shared that patriotic drinks and eats will be available throughout the park!
Offerings will include patriotic cupcakes, a red, white, and blue sangria, and a Boom Berry Lemonade! It has also been revealed that special dining packages will be available, and we’ll look forward to sharing more info as soon as we can!
Epcot park hours will be: 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
