What’s New in the Magic Kingdom: Chocolate, Eclairs, Giant Corn Dogs, Construction, and So Much Merchandise!
This week’s visit to the Magic Kingdom was jam-packed with updates since our last visit! There’s new Valentine’s Chocolates, Krispie Treats, Loaded Hot Dogs and Corn Dogs, Eclairs, Refurbishments, Construction, Merchandise, and Alien Popcorn Buckets!
If you’re looking for that perfect treat for your sweetheart the Confectionery on Main Street, U.S.A. has some new Chocolate Truffles that come complete with a solid milk chocolate card!
What’s New on Magic Kingdom’s Main Street, U.S.A.
There are two brand-new boxes of truffles for Valentine’s Day in the Confectionery — and those “cards” in the boxes are SOLID chocolate!
There’s a variety of flavors in each box, so be sure to select the box with your sweetheart’s (or your own) favorites!
Have you ever really, really wanted to take a Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar home to eat later and remember your trip? Well, now you can (especially if you can’t find the Mickey Bars in your grocery store) with a brand new Mickey Ice Cream Bar Krispie Treat! (<– see pricing and details at this link)
Casey’s Corner has continued their Hot Diggity Dog of the Month into this new year. This month’s featured dog (or loaded fries) is a Buffalo Chicken topped Hot Dog. Read our review of this dog here!
They are still busy taking down the Christmas lights on Cinderella Castle. There is still work to be done, which means the path by the Wishing Well that takes you back to Fantasyland is still closed for now.
What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland
The Vanellope Eclair is back! We first spotted this as a party-exclusive treat during last year’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, but now it’s back at Gaston’s Tavern and available to everyone!
What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Square
Sleepy Hollow surprised us on this visit with the addition of a foot-long corn dog! You might call this a return, but there’s a difference between this new version of Sleepy Hollow‘s Corn Dog and 2017’s version. Read our review to learn more!
What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland
The refurbishment continues at Cosmic Rays’s Starlight Cafe. Bays 1 and 2 are now open, along with the restrooms, but you’ll now find Bay 3 and the seating area that leads up to the restroom hallway are closed.
With one of the bays being closed you’ll find the other two bays very busy at popular meal times.
There’s some more sure signs of construction going on around the Tomorrowland Speedway area! The addition of some new construction walls around the entrance to the attraction show the park preparing for the 2021 opening of the brand new Tron attraction! But don’t worry — Tomorrowland Speedway will re-open again before Tron opens!
Popcorn Bucket, Toy Story, and Alien Fans Alert! The Alien Popcorn buckets have arrived in Magic Kingdom! Find out where these buckets have landed in Tomorrowland here!
What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Stores and Shops — New Merchandise!
The Magic Kingdom reusable shopping bag has arrived! Have you started your Disney Parks reusable shopping bag collection yet?
Do your kiddos have a kitchen or grocery store play set? Now they can add Disney Snacks to their play sets with this new Disney Snacks Play Set, or you can add it to your desk as a fun reminder of your favorite Disney snacks (that’s what we’re doing!).
We love that they have included all the classic snacks in this play set.
There’s a new Trader Sam’s dress in Uptown Jewelers as well as the perfect purse to go with the dress!
Look at this purse — it’s the actual Shrunken Zombie Head cocktail!
And the best news — you can get the dress and purse online here!
The scented Dole Whip Pillow is in Adventureland! See the full Disney Snacks scented pillow collection at this link here! Are you sold on the idea of scented pillows? Let us know in the comments below!
It’s the first question they ask the winners of the Super Bowl every year, now Disney is asking you this classic question, “What are you going to do next?” on a new line of merchandise including water bottles and t-shirts. See the collection at this link here!
It’s here! Finally! The Disney Passholder Alex and Ani bracelets arrived in Magic Kingdom! Read all about them at this link.
We found the friendliest tote bag ever! This fun bag sends a “hello” out to everyone along with some of the most iconic dolls, animals, and guitar playing cactus from “it’s a small world”!
We’re loving the Mary Blair styling in the “hello” letters as well as on the trim of the bag and the straps.
These new Mickey Mouse measuring spoons might inspire us to start baking!
What are you adding to your must try list — the Buffalo Chicken Dog, Corn Dog, Vanellope Eclair — or are you opting for merchandise (that you can put in that reusable bag)? Let us know in the comments below!
