This week was full of those little updates that add up to be a big deal. From big construction changes to new menus, it was a very exciting week.

Fall Decor

Fall has officially arrived in Disney World! Disney covered the Magic Kingdom in autumn leaves and Mickey pumpkins overnight before our rope drop on Tuesday the 4th.

Mickey pumpkins!

The iconic fall decor is on the Main Street U.S.A. Train Station, which we always love to see. We can’t forget about the adorable pumpkins that sit in the middle of the gates; they’re a popular spot to take photos.

A MAJOR CHANGE Just Hit Magic Kingdom

The Diamond Horseshoe

Disney announced on Wednesday that the Diamond Horseshoe in Magic Kingdom will become a cowboy-themed lounge for a limited time this fall. The Diamond Horseshoe will still accept reservations and welcome walk-ins, and Disney hasn’t yet announced a specific opening date or closing timeline for the change.

Tropical Americas Entrance

The Tropical Americas land is replacing what used to be DinoLand, U.S.A. in Animal Kingdom, and it’s set to open in 2027. We’ve been watching the construction progress, and when we checked it out on Friday morning, we saw that the main entrance to the land is up!

The new entrance?

At what used to be DinoLand’s main entrance, we spotted this metal framework for an archway. It perfectly matches the concept art of the main entrance for visitors, opening into the front area with the carousel and the restaurant.
