Fire Breaks Out Under Roller Coaster At Six Flags Park
Sometimes things happen in a theme park that you don’t expect, and honestly, sometimes they can be a little scary.
Fortunately, theme park workers are trained to deal with a multitude of different situations, so when something unexpected happens, there’s usually a plan in place. Recently, a fire broke out at Six Flags Magic Mountain, resulting in the fire department being called to put it out. Here’s what you need to know.
According to KTLA 5, on Thursday, June 11th, a fire broke out below the X2 roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California. Fire crews responded to the blaze around 12:21 PM, and from the footage captured, it seems a palm tree was engulfed in flames, and the flames soon spread to other trees and nearby brush.
The area was covered in smoke due to the fire, but fire crews were able to easily put out the blaze before it could affect any nearby attractions or structures. No injuries were sustained by any guests, workers, or firefighter personnel, and the park did not need to evacuate any sections during the event. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
Crews remained nearby to monitor for other hotspots, but fortunately, no other fires have broken out at this time.
