EPCOT’s Tiny Train Town Struck GOLD and I Need Your Help

If you’ve been a DFB reader for a while, then you probably know all about Tiny Train Town!

I like to report on the shenanigans and nonsense happening in the tiny village in the Germany Pavilion at EPCOT, and you’d be surprised by how much shenanigans and nonsense these folks get into! So join me, Madam Mayor, as I take you on a tour of the itty bitty city and see what wild stories we can uncover.

Starting out our report this week, we had to check up on the trains! I’d recently heard tell that there was some suspicious activity happening on board a few routes. Groups of people have been secretly meeting up on the trains to have quick meetings in murmured voices. I’ll need YOUR help decoding this one — what do you guys think is going on here?! I would love to hear your theories.

On a happy note, it’s prom season in Tiny Train Town! The residents adopted the tradition of prom a few years ago after hearing Americans talking about it when they passed by the village. So far it’s going very well…except for Johnny there in the red pants — he didn’t get a date this year. Any volunteers?

Remember our town’s competitive chess club? Well, it has been thriving in recent months, though some are leaving the club to start a mahjong group instead (it’s pretty trendy right now, I can’t blame them). However, this week, there was a cheating scandal at one of the gazebo tournaments! One man was caught smuggling pieces into his shirt sleeves. Not sure how that strategy works, but he was immediately kicked out of the tournament.

Finally, another exciting story this week is that while crews were working on renovations at the local school, they struck GOLD! This crew right here found gold nuggets on school grounds, and so far, the total value amounts to the 6-digit range. What should we do with the funds? I’m thinking the school needs a swimming pool on the roof, but I’m open to ideas.

* The anarchy within is mostly created by natural occurrences, like giant squirrels, wind, rain, and relatively Godzilla-sized lizards who frequent the town, but we find it fun and entertaining to make up fictional stories about what COULD be happening. We are grateful to the folks who create and maintain this Tiny Train Town for Disney World, as it’s one of our favorite parts of EPCOT and always has been.
