CONFIRMED: 3 New Perks Coming to Disney World Hotels Next Month

So maybe you’ve heard us talk about Cool KIDS’ Summer — we’re kinda obsessed with it. It’s when Disney World transforms the parks and hotels to focus on families with additional character meet and greets, entertainment offerings, and more, and it’s just a fun way to see the parks in a different light.

Pluto!

We’ve been talking about the main perks, but there are three underrated offerings that could make your trip even more magical. Cool KID’s Summer runs from May 26th to September 8th.

Planning guide for the ultimate Disney vacation

These three perks are coming to four Disney World hotels, including:

Disney’s Pop Century

While characters have been known to randomly pop into resorts, the four hotels will feature scheduled character meet and greets, and we’re so excited to see which friends visit. While that’s a main perk, let’s talk about the added benefits you don’t want to forget about.

Complimentary Childcare Items

Items like bottle warmers, infant bathtubs, diaper disposal units, and nightlights “will be ready and waiting.” These items are meant to help care for little ones and to make life just a little bit easier, and one less thing to pack in your suitcase. It’s nice to know everyone in the family will be taken care of.

Special Libraries

Created by Disney Publishing, special libraries will be curated and feature Disney favorites. On select evenings will present a “cozy pajama party” that includes story time and other bedtime activities. Snuggling up in pajamas with a good book as an escape from the chaos during your vacation? Say less!

Campfires

These resorts will also have campfires on select evenings with toasted marshmallows and Disney-inspired sing-alongs. While there are campfires at other Disney hotels, it sounds like they will be more consistent at these resorts, and who doesn’t love the addition of sing-alongs?

Campfire at Riviera

This is just the start of the perks! All Disney World hotel resort guests get a free park ticket to the water parks to use on their arrival day. You can visit Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach, but keep in mind that these tickets are only available from May 26th to September 8th, and you have to use them the day of your check-in.

Blizzard Beach

All Disney World hotels also have access to Early Entry, which is when you get to enter the parks 30 minutes earlier than normal day guests. For Cool KIDS’ Summer, there will be more Disney character meet and greets across all four parks.
