6 Weeks When Disney’s Hollywood Studios Will Be Empty in 2026
If you’re planning a visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios this year, we’re going to give you some pointers!
This is one of Disney World’s most popular parks because it’s home to big thrills and fan-favorite IPs like Toy Story and Star Wars. So if you want to visit, you may want to choose a time when it’s going to be less crowded. We’ve rounded up a list of the weeks that we’re projecting to be less crowded in 2026!
April 26th-May 2nd
The first week on our list is April 26th-May 2nd, which falls in that sweet spot after Spring Break season, but before schools let out for the summer. It’s also after the runDisney Springtime Surprise, so you won’t have fans crowding the park for that event.
As far as Hollywood Studios goes, this is also the only week on our list that falls before some major changes. Parts of Animation Courtyard, which is now called Walt Disney Studios, are reopening at the end of May. Other offerings (like The Magic of Disney Animation and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring The Muppets) are set to open in the summer, so we expect some folks might be saving their visits until that point.

August 23rd-29th
most people back in school, before labor day, after initial Halloween rush
The summer is a popular time to visit since many kids are out of school, so our next week when it might not be too busy falls as summertime winds down. The week of August 23rd-29th will be after many Americans have returned to school, but before people get time off for the Labor Day holiday.
This also falls after the initial Halloween rush. Halloween starts in Disney World in mid-August, and some fans will flock to the parks at that time to be among the first to attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and see the fall celebrations.

September 13th-19th & 20th-26th
September is typically one of the quietest months in Disney World, though not the entire month, since Labor Day kicks it off. Once that holiday rush is over, students go back to school, and the initial hype for Halloween dies down a bit. Also, it’s still pretty hot this time of year (we’re talking 90º temperatures), so some people wait to come until October or November, when it starts to cool down.
The one thing that might change the popularity of these dates is the official opening dates for the new attractions. If The Magic of Disney Animation or Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring The Muppets open shortly before these days (or during!), then people may plan trips specifically for those offerings.

November 15th-21st
Now, we’re getting into the holiday season. November 15th-21st is kind of a sweet spot. The holiday celebrations kick off in Disney World a week or more before these dates, and this is the week that falls before Thanksgiving break.
We often find that the week before Thanksgiving is pretty quiet, considering most folks are saving their vacation time for the big holiday. The weather is usually pretty nice, and you can enjoy holiday celebrations like the decor, the snacks, and Jollywood Nights.

November 29th-December 5th
Last on our list for 2026 is November 29th-December 5th. This is the week AFTER Thanksgiving, which, though not as quiet as the week before the holiday, can still be pretty chill. This usually falls during a time when people are back at work for a few weeks or students are wrapping up school at the end of the fall semester.
You’ll start to see crowds pick up around the second week of December after college students have exams, but until then, you might get a few days of peace and quiet.
If you haven’t decided on a date for your visit yet, see if one of these options lines up with your calendar!
