Heads Up! Magic Kingdom Is Closing EARLY On This May Date
It’s no fun when you visit your favorite theme park only to discover that its hours have changed and you won’t have as much time there as you had hoped. Now, this is something that happens often, which is why we tell you that it’s important to check park hours before your trip so you’re on top of any early closures.
However, we also want to make sure you stay updated on park hours. So if you happen to be planning a trip to Disney World in May and wish to visit Magic Kingdom on May 13th, we’re going to tell you to reconsider your plans. That’s because Magic Kingdom will be closing early that day.
We just recently checked hours for Magic Kingdom in May and discovered that the park will be closing super early on May 13th, at 5:30 PM. That means if you’re visiting Magic Kingdom that day, you will have to leave by that time. This generally happens when there’s some kind of special event planned at the parks, like special Cast Member events.
Now, this might not be a problem if you have the park hopper option on your Disney World ticket — you can just hop over to another park. However, many visitors choose not to get the park hopper option, so you’d be losing valuable time in Magic Kingdom, as well as missing out on both the Disney Starlight parade and the Happily Ever After fireworks, both of which are quintessential Magic Kingdom entertainment. So our best advice is if you have a trip planned to Disney World for that week, save Magic Kingdom for another day.
We’ll continue to keep an eye on park hours in Disney World to keep you updated, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
