ALERT! This Popular EPCOT Ride CLOSES in One Week
Listen — we LOVE when rides get a much needed refurbishment. Whether it’s Big Thunder Mountain Railroad getting an updated track and new rainbow caverns, or Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin getting a new scene, ride vehicles, blasters, and targets, we love it when our favorite rides get a little bit more love so we can enjoy them for years to come.
What we don’t like is when our favorite rides have to CLOSE for these refurbishments to happen. It’s a necessary eveil but it doesn’t mean we love when we show up to the parks and we can’t hop in. EPCOT is updating a beloved attraction, but that means a closure is coming our way.
Frozen Ever After will be closing on January 26th to add updates to the Audio-Animatronics figures. It’s set to reopen in February.
If you haven’t heard of this change coming, Disney is changing the animatronics of all of our favorite Frozen friends, which will become “more true-to-film” and have new faces, similar to the ones in Hong Kong Disneyland. Say goodbye to the projected faces because they’re changing to look more realistic!
For this change, Frozen Ever After will be closed for some time so they can make the changes. What else can you do in EPCOT during this change? Don’t worry — there’s still so much to do. Anna and Elsa will still be meeting at Royal Sommerhus in the Norway Pavilion, so you can get your Frozen fix.
Frozen Ever After doesn’t have a height requirement, and there are a few other attractions in EPCOT that the whole family will be able to ride, like Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros…
…Living with the Land…
…Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure…
…Spaceship Earth…
…The Seas with Nemo & Friends…
…and Journey Into Imagination with Figment. You can also pop into any of the shows with the family to enjoy some time sitting inside.
The EPCOT Festival of the Arts is also running until February 23rd. This event turns all of EPCOT into an artistic wonderland with chalk art, painting, and drawing activities, and tons of beautiful food that you won’t want to miss. Here at DFB, we reviewed the entire festival, and you can find our favorites here!
