The Unspoken Rule You Should Follow at the Seas Pavilion in EPCOT

Turtle Talk With Crush has been a cornerstone of EPCOT’s Seas with Nemo & Friends pavilion for nearly two decades. While the interactive attraction is a treat for all ages, there’s something unspoken that older guests need to keep in mind.

The long-running attraction, which was developed as part of an interactive character intuitive Disney Imagineering pursued in the 2000s, allows audiences to interact with a real-time animated version of the totally tubular turtle from Finding Nemo, voiced by a Cast Member out of sight.

While Turtle Talk has been around long enough to have cross-generational appeal, there is a “rule” that older guests really should adhere to when enjoying the show: Remember it’s mainly for kids.

When entering the theater, sit towards the back rows of benches, and certainly don’t sit on the floor space reserved for kids. Once the show starts, allow the kids to lead the interactions with the character.

Now, on occasion, Crush may interact with older guests as every performance is different, and if the character does, respond back. Once again, we’re certainly not saying older guests shouldn’t enjoy the experience, or feel free to take part in it on some level, just bear in mind what the attraction’s target audience.
