We’ve talked about it a thousand times by now, but holiday time at Disney World is the busiest time of year, and you should not underestimate the crowds during your visit.

The crowds have arrived

If one of your ways of beating the crowds is by purchasing Lightning Lanes, well, we have some news that might make you change your strategy.

Lightning Lane Premier Pass is currently selling out for the week of Thanksgiving. Premier Pass is the ultimate pass where you don’t have to prebook any attractions, and you can simply scan into the Lightning Lane queue once for every attraction.

TRON Lightning Lane

That’s for Lightning Lane Premier Pass, the most expensive pass! Lightning Lane Multi Pass is still mostly available for the week, but Lightning Lane Single Pass, the passes that let you skip an individual attraction, are also selling out.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Lightning Lane

Even if you aren’t looking into purchasing Lightning Lanes during your trip, when the most expensive passes are starting to sell out, it’s going to be a very busy day in the parks. The prices are also based on dynamic pricing, so when Disney is expecting higher crowds, the cost goes up, up, up.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

When visiting during the holidays, don’t forget to check out other fun Christmas experiences outside of the parks. Disney Springs hosts a free Christmas Tree Stroll, with a small prize for completing the scavenger hunt!

Some of the resorts also have Christmas trees and gingerbread displays, which are personally my favorite part of the season. I love the gingerbread castle at the Contemporary Resort!
