The 4 Best Things We Ate at Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic in Disney World
Get ready to loosen your belt a notch because the Swan & Dolphin Food & Wine Classic is back, and we’re so ready. We tried all the food at this event, and we’re sharing our favorites!
Each year at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort, food-lovers and Disney fans alike gather for two evenings of unlimited bites, sips, and fun along the scenic causeway between the hotels. The 2025 edition runs on Friday, November 14, and Saturday, November 15, starting at 5:30 PM. With dozens of restaurants participating, live entertainment, and beverage pairings from around the world, it’s one of the most delicious weekends on property. So here are the dishes that we are still thinking about!
From the moment we step onto the causeway and catch that first aroma from the booths, our team knows what to look for: bold flavors and dishes that make us stop in our tracks. We tried everything from gourmet small plates by the resort’s top chefs and a few refreshing drinks. We’ll let you know exactly which items had us coming back for seconds (or thirds!).
Over at Bourbon Steak, the Slow Braised Wagyu Beef Short Rib with Celery Root Espuma and Shallot Marmalade is beautifully done. It still has really great fatty pieces where the meat needs to be nice and tender, and that bourbon glaze around it just really hits, especially whenever it’s warm. The accompaniments elevate the flavor fantastically as well — the sauce, the carrot, and the little microgreens are just beautiful on it and really add to the brightness of the flavor.
Beer Garden has some great Chicken Wings this year that you won’t want to miss. These were perfectly juicy and lightly sprinkled with breading at the top that added more texture than flavor, which we loved. They’re coated in a sweet buffalo sauce, giving them a little pop of a kick to it and spice, but not anything that lingered or was too heavy.
Beer Garden (specifically Carnival Corner) is also home to the Pineapple Upside Down Cake with Ice Cream, and Disney, we need this in the parks ASAP! This was one of the most delicious eats we’ve ever had. It’s covered with just enough powdered sugar to be perfect, and to us, it’s worth the ticket alone to sit here and eat as much funnel cake with Pineapple Dole Whip as we want — if you want something sweet, this is the way to go!
Finally, over at Chinatown, the Shu Mein is vegan, but a great choice for everyone who enjoys noodles, in our eyes! If you’re a fan of Captain Cook’s noodles but really want a Chinese filter on it instead of pan-Asian, this is definitely a dish to grab. It’s topped with a few toppings like little chives and pieces of tofu that, texture-wise wise taste like meat to the noodles, but the noodles themselves are also cooked very well. We added a little extra soy sauce, which made it a little extra soupy, but so good in the flavor department — just like ones you’d pick up at the Polynesian, with a Chinese spin. We can’t recommend it enough!
This year’s Food & Wine Classic ends TONIGHT, November 15th, but if you missed it this time around, you can keep a lookout for tickets to drop for next year’s event — we’ll be sure to keep you updated. Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney World dining tips for your trip!
