NEWS: Disney Reveals MENU and PRICING for New Grand Floridian Lobby Bar

After months of construction, Disney’s latest hotel bar — The Perch — is nearly ready to open at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. Now, Disney has released a look at the menu for the lounge.

The bar, which is being added as part of a massive refurbishment of the venerable hotel’s lobby area, will feature a primarily drink and cocktail-based menu that should make it quite popular with both Grand Floridian guests as well as those who partake in the Monorail Resort Bar Crawl.

The Perch’s primary offerings will be two exclusive cocktails themed to the flavors that define the hotel’s namesake state:

• The $22 Floridian 75 will feature Ford’s Gin, Florida Citrus Cordial, and lemon topped with Taittinger ‘La Francaise’ Brut Champagne.
• Meanwhile, the Sunshine State Rum Sazerac will feature Siesta Key Coffee Rum, Demerara, Absinthe Rinse, Peychaud’s Bitters, and lemon essence for $17.50.

In addition to these two signature cocktails, The Perch will also offer a full wine list:

There will also be three locally brewed beers — 3 Daughters Beach Blonde Ale from St. Petersburg, Florida, Funky Buddha Floridian Hefeweizen from Oakland Park, Florida, and Cigar City Jai Alai IPA, Tampa, Florida — available for $11.75 each. The menu finishes with a non-alcoholic Blueberry and Basil Iced Tea for $8.00.

Named and themed for the iconic birdcage which formerly occupied its location in the lobby, The Perch will celebrate the Grand Floridian’s “Victorian roots through intricate woodwork, elegant herringbone tile, and custom stained glass that shimmers with subtle hues.”

The company went on to promise that, “You might even spot a few feathered friends that have taken flight throughout the atrium, adorning the stained glass, murals, and wallpaper.”

It’s possible this menu could be expanded in the future, but for now, this is what is on the Disney World website.
