We Will Never Use a Popcorn Bucket the Same in Disney World Thanks to This $10 Upgrade
As professional Disney fans who are in the parks nearly every day, we’re always on the lookout for genius products that make our park days easier.
We love popcorn!
That means that every now and then we spot something that might not seem like a big deal at first, but eventually ends up being kind of life-changing. If you’re a popcorn bucket person, you’ll never use one the same thanks to this CHEAP upgrade!
Our lives have forever been changed by this!
Popcorn Bands
These GRIFTI X Cross Style Bands (A.K.A. Popcorn Bands) are SO dang versatile — you can use them to stack food containers, keep your electronics organized, and a whole lot more. But if you ask us, they’re amazing for keeping those pesky lids on the classic Disney popcorn buckets!

We have personally been victimized by a loose lid more times than we can count — leaving us popcorn-less and sad. And who wants to be sad at Disney World?! These popcorn bands are a great way to keep your popcorn fresh and where it belongs (until it makes it to your taste buds, that is.) This is especially true if you’re traveling with kids, or anyone who may be a little clumsier — while popcorn refills are only a few dollars with a popcorn bucket (which is a great deal), no one wants to accidentally lose an entire bucket by dropping it!
They certainly hung on very well!
When we tried these bands out, they did a great job of keeping things sealed up, but they do tend to collect dirt and debris — so be careful where you set them down. It’s easy to wipe off, though, especially if you bring some wipes into the park with you! It’s also important to note that when we put the band on, in order to get it around the bucket and be able to lift the handle we had to take the handle off first, then wrap the band around it, then replace the handle.

The only other downside we experienced was that we had to really hold the top of the lid while we grabbed the popcorn and replace it quickly, otherwise, the band would slip off and we’d have to repeat the process to get the band back around the entire thing which was a little bit annoying — but not as annoying as losing an entire bucket of popcorn you paid for!

If you’re looking for popcorn buckets in Disney World or Disneyland, we highly recommend checking the popcorn stands around the park, but also looking at quick service restaurants! Some popcorn buckets are even available via mobile order at many of these locations, which can save you a lot of time. When in doubt, you can politely ask nearby Cast Members and they’ll be happy to help!
