NEWS: Woman Dies After Riding Haunted Mansion at Disneyland

A woman in her 60s died after being found unresponsive following a ride on the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland on the evening of October 6th, KTLA has reported.

Anaheim Fire & Rescue was called to the park around 6:30 PM following reports of an unresponsive guest who had just ridden the Haunted Mansion.

It was reported that Disneyland security provided aid and CPR until paramedics arrived and transported the woman to a local hospital, where she was then pronounced dead, Sgt. Matt Sutter with Anaheim Fire & Rescue told KTLA.

Disney officials did confirm that a guest required medical attention and was taken to a local hospital. The Orange County Sheriff Coroner’s Office will determine the official cause of death, and as of now, the woman’s exact name, age, or city of residence has not been released.

Sgt. Sutter confirmed, “There is no indication of any operating issue with the attraction, which reopened soon after,” and that the incident “appears to be an unfortunate medical episode.”
