Limited-release merchandise drops are nothing new, but this current wave of collectible restaurant pins? It’s officially chaos. We’re talking lines forming before the sun’s even up, sell-outs within minutes, and guests walking away empty-handed — and frustrated. The Restaurant Pin Craze
Right now, Disney’s dropping a series of limited-release pins themed to different Disney World restaurants. Sounds harmless enough, right? But these aren’t just any pins. They’re the pins to get. Each one is part of a set, they’re only available for a short time, and supply? Yeah, that’s limited too.
That combination means the lines to get them are no joke. Guests have been lining up outside of the pin shops opening just for a shot at getting one. We’ve seen people skipping breakfast and even early ride times just to queue up. It’s giving Black Friday energy, but make it Disney.
They’re Selling Out Fast

- Bring patience, because the line gets long quickly.
- Have a backup plan in case they’re sold out by the time you get there.
Also, keep in mind that Cast Members do their best to manage the crowds, but they can’t control how many pins are available. And unless Disney changes how these releases are handled, this kind of souvenir scramble might be the new normal.
