NEWS: Extended Evening Hours Are Returning To Disney’s Hollywood Studios SOON!

Great news for fans of Extended Evening Hours!

If you’ve ever wanted to stay in the parks after closing and experience the park with fewer people and shorter lines, then Disney World’s Extended Evening Hours events are perfect for you. If you were hoping to experience Extended Evening Hours later this year, we’ve got fun news — hours have been announced for Disney’s Hollywood Studios! 

Disney has just quietly announced the return of Extended Evening Hours to Hollywood Studios this August. We’re currently seeing that August 29th is the first date of this perk, but as the calendar only goes through September 1st right now, that’s all we’re able to see.

This actually isn’t that unusual — when Halloween season comes around, Magic Kingdom gets too busy with Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (and then Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party after that) to host Extended Evening Hours, so Hollywood Studios usually takes it off their hands. This means that we expect to see some Extended Evening Hours dates from (hopefully) August through at least October.

What are Extended Evening Hours, exactly? Well, this is a perk that guests staying at Deluxe Disney World hotels, as well as the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, and select other resorts, get to use on select days of their vacation. Unlike Early Entry, which is available every day at all parks and is a perk all Disney World hotel guests can use, Extended Evening Hours only happen at select parks throughout the week and is only reserved for those staying at select hotels. They allow you access to the park a few hours after regular closing, and can be a great way to get a few more rides in before the day ends.

It’s a great perk, especially if you don’t go to Disney World often and you want to take advantage of each and every minute in the park that you can.
