New Details JUST ANNOUNCED for 2026 Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend

We all know Disneyland Resort’s 70th celebration is coming soon! But did you know Disneyland revealed another party they’ll be hosting?

RUN on over to Disneyland in 2026 because we have the details for the Half Marathon event that will be taking place in Anaheim! 

Disney Half Marathon Weekends are so memorable! We love runDisney events like Disney World’s Princess Half Marathon weekend and the Wine & Dine races. Later this year, Disneyland will be hosting a runDisney event themed around Disney’s iconic villains.

Let’s look even further ahead, though, because Disneyland revealed its “Celebrate Happy” Half Marathon Weekend in 2026! It looks like runDisney is going to be all smiles next year. And it’s happening during Disneyland’s 70th anniversary! The theme focuses on different ways to celebrate what makes us happy! Essentially, it’ll be the Happiest Race on Earth at the Happiest Place on Earth. The race weekend will take place January 29th to February 1st, 2026. Let’s take a look at each day’s theme!

January 30th will be the 5K run, where you will join Joy from Disney Pixar’s Inside Out! This 3.1 mile run is the time to “Celebrate Joy”, because Joy is taking control of the panel and she’s thinking positive!

January 31st will be for true sorcerers, as this 10K run is led by Sorcerer Mickey. This 6.2-mile run will be a magical journey as you “Celebrate Imagination”!

“Celebrate Togetherness” and bring a friend on February 1st, with the half marathon run. Everyone gathered in the same place, with the same goal; this 13.1 mile run shows it truly is a small world after all.

Dumbo has set a double dare for you to “Celebrate Achievement”! You can earn an extra medal from finishing both the 10K run and the half marathon. So soar to that finish line!

It looks like Stitch has organized something for the wild kids who want to get in on the race! “Celebrate Laughter” on January 1st, and get into the thrilling run with experiment 626! This race will be for kids ages 9 and under.

Finally, “Celebrate Smiles” on January 29th with the fabulous Miss Piggy in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle for a morning yoga session.

Registration for the event will start very soon, so mark your calendars! Club runDisney members will be able to register starting April 22nd, 2025. General registration will start soon after that, on April 29th, 2025. We can’t wait for the event next year.
