We LOVE It When Disney Listens! Something NEW Is Coming Soon, and Figment Fans Are Finally Being Fed
The Walt Disney Company’s most recent shareholder meeting had some big news!

They shared a new sneak peek for the “Lion King” attraction coming in 2026 and even announced “Coco 2” which we couldn’t be more excited about! There were several company updates as well, however, there was one question posed to CEO Bob Iger that left Figment fans excited.
On March 30th, 2025, The Walt Disney Company held its shareholder meeting that gave us updates and a few sneak peeks in every area of the company. Disney CEO Bob Iger led most of the meeting and even though they shared tons of major news, he made one comment about Figment that we can’t stop thinking about.

During the question and answer portion of the meeting, someone asked if the company would ever consider using Figment in other parts of the business like a film! Iger started his response by saying this question has been asked many times and he now refers to the character as “good ole Figment.” He continued on to say, “I have been asked this so many times. I am going to ask our creative teams to consider making some form of series or short-form videos of Figment.”
Figment Meet and Greet in EPCOT
While we love the general idea, we think fans were a bit torn at his request. If you aren’t sure who Figment is (or why we might need short-form videos of him), he’s the adorable purple dragon that lives in EPCOT at his own attraction Journey into Imagination with Figment where you can also find his meet and greet! Unsurprisingly, the Disney social team jumped right on it!

We will admit this really made us giggle, however, fans seemed to be a bit torn by this “news”. Figment’s attraction in EPCOT has seen three variations of the ride since it opened and we don’t think it’s a stretch to say lots of Disney fans aren’t in love with the current attraction. Several comments filled the DisneyParks Instagram requesting a ride update rather than more short form.

In our humble opinion, we would love to see both! Why can’t we have more Figment videos AND a ride update? The sky is limitless when it comes to this purple dragon. We will say we’re just happy that Figment is on Bob Iger’s mind, it’s a step in the right direction.

The rest of the shareholder meeting was a bit more serious with updates about every aspect of the company, theme parks included! Iger also stated that demand for the parks is extremely high despite the price increases. We’ll continue to wait for the new Figment short form so we can share it with you ASAP!
