There’s nothing quite like sitting down for a meal at Disney World and being greeted throughout your time there by several of your favorite Disney pals. To say we were stoked when 1900 Park Fare reopened at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is an understatement. There are a few other steps we do to prepare for this meal that we’re willing to bet not everyone else follows. If you’re really looking to get the MOST out of this lovely dining experience, we’ve got a few suggestions to bring along that will help enhance your visit and leave lasting impressions in the best ways!

We were cautiously optimistic about the changes to the meals at 1900 Park Fare when its return to Disney World was initially teased, and boy, were we glad we gave it a fair chance! While we do miss the characters that used to be part of the Breakfast and Dinner times at this restaurant, we have to admit that we were very impressed with the new Wishmaker friends that will join you now for your meals here!

In fact, we loved them so much that we’ve thought of a few things you should be bringing along with you so you can make sure you leave no stone unturned while you’re dining here for either meal. If you’re feeling a little “extra” these are all great ways to really make your interactions shine for not only adults but kids alike!

If the taste of paper straws may bug you, we HIGHLY recommend these Sunseeke Silicone Reusable Straws!

They’re bendy, but don’t lose their shape

Seriously, these things are genius! They come is several fun colors as a whole set so you can designate them for multiple members of your group or just coordinate the color to your mood or park for the day!

Hides away nicely

They’ve really though of everything for this set because each straw comes with a silicone holder that’s equally as flexible…

…and a straw cleaner to run through them as you’re cleaning them at the end of the day. These might be the single best investment we’ve ever made for our theme park accessories now that we’re really thinking about it!

While the characters are coming around, your server will bring around a signature card to commemorate your experience with each character’s signature on it however, it never hurts to ask for another! While you’re chatting with the Wishmaker friends and stopping for a photo, it’s also a great time to ask for a quick signature if the characters are able! What makes this autograph book even more fun is there’s so many pages to fill so you can keep the fun going all vacation long AND even bring it back for future vacations to add to it!

This instant print camera is so much fun!

Instant Digital Camera

Seriously, our kids really loved getting to use this thing around Disney World and especially when they were meeting with the characters. What we really loved about it is how lightweight and user friendly it is! It comes packed with several rolls of printing paper for hours of photos, a 32GB memory card to store a digital copy of pictures and videos taken through your kiddo’s eyes…

There could be opportunity for a custom souvenir!

Owala Water Bottle Signed Souvenir

We LOVE when we’re able to think outside of the box a bit and find ways to built a souvenir that feels a bit more personal. That’s what instantly drew us to this marshmallow white Owala water bottle! It was the perfect “canvas” to ask Disney characters for their signatures on, and something we’ve been able to cherish and gush over since! Although, we will also suggest that to keep your signatures from smudging, you’ll probably want to coat it with a craft sealer or clear coat for longer keep.

We know you’ve saved and saved to enjoy this once in a lifetime kind of meal and there’s a lot to take in here! Whether you’re someone who’s eyes were a little bigger than their tummy at the time or have little ones who have gotten caught up in the moment and forgotten to eat, we’ve got a great solution to offer. Since you’ve already been served the food on your plate, try taking what’s leftover with you! We love taking containers with us to the parks when we’re trying different foods or just have too much to eat in one setting. This could be a great way to make sure your kids are truly full after you’ve left the meal and the excitement wears off a bit.

Sometimes these meals can be a bit too exciting for a bit, and the newness can seem to wear off after a while. Maybe, some creative down time is just what will do the trick to keep everyone their happiest! We’re big fans of coloring books featuring some of the most notable Disney characters AND they make for a great conversation piece when the characters come around to your table and see the creativity come to life.
